So , as I asked in the topic's description, I was wondering if there is any way in which I could assign different color pallets to the three different Acts in Green Hill. As of now, the program being used is SonEd (original version). Upon altering the pallet for a single Act, the entire Zone's art was altered upon testing the ROM...

    Any feedback is appreciated!

    Thanks,

Actually, Selbi, he's using SonEd 1. Changing a palette in SonEd 1 will make the entire level change it's palette. The only way you can make dynamic palette changes is the way the post that Selbi directed you to tells you. And for that, you'll need a split disassembly. A good guide for setting one up can be found here: http://info.sonicretro.org/SCHG_How-to:Set...lit_disassembly It was made by Qjimbo and even I used it.

Oh, I always thought no is using SonED 1 anymore, so for me the word "SonED" is automaticly "SonED 2".

    He said

but when I first read the first post I just scanned it so I didn't know it was SonED 1 at first.

Ok, well, I sorta saw what was coming: using an out-of-date, or at least older hacking program than the most recent release is a bad idea. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and giving me the link ... I'll go ahead and download SonEd2 right now...

    whoa,whoa,whoa.... hold it.

Who said that using SonEd1 was a bad idea? Using SonEd1 may have it's limitations, you can still make a good hack. While not as powerful as using a split, it's definitely easier to use.

Disassembly = Way of the present.

Easier editing, and moar computability. If you need any help setting it up, just ask here =P. Most people are using disassemblies anyway.
