Sonic in other Genesis ROMs

    Is it possible to put sonic in other genisis roms without editing the levels to make the game easier? (I.E. Moonwalker, Ristar and, Shaq-Fu)

    Everything is possible, but what you requested is the description of "extreme hard". If you mean to port Sonic with all his moves etc. in Moonwalker for example, then goodbye. This is extreme hard, because unlike our split disassemblies, where we can easly modify the code and the art, we need to do Hex here. The art is actually no problem if you know the locations, but the code.... no.


    EDIT: Oh and also, what has "broken sprites" to do with this question?

    The sprites get broken like for example, in moonwalker, sonic's sprites get broken when movung up the stairs. Also, the game crashes 'cause it tries to load michael's "smooth criminal" entrance. i would get a program to fix this but i've been hit with a few Blue Screens on my computer lately so i can't.


    EDIT: i was also trying to get sonic 3's debug mode inside ristar and moonwalker.

    mostly messing around but mostly Using SonEd2 among other roms to cut out the original sprites. (this did not go well with shaq fu)


    also, i tried putting in the sonic 2 level slect in moonwalker; here's what happend:


    -Computer fucks up so hard it freezes for nearly 20 minutes.


    -Screen goes black.


    -And - oh joy - ANOTHER Blue Screen of Death.


    I think i just kill the projeict for now until my computer heals itself. :)


    EDIT: I meant the Sonic 3 level select.

    no, i suk at hexing so, i didn't try it. plus i had to get my computer upgraded, so all my data is gone execpt for the games.

    It wasn''t easy but i tried ported the sprites into the game and removed the Michael Jackson sprites.


    I really think this topic is going out of hand :p. So, i'm gonna stop posting on here for awhile.


    EDIT 2: To Selbi: I used Kega to save screenshots from Sonic 1 and ripped the sprites from the backround.


    Also, i didn't remove any of Jackson's sprites; i just made him a boss so i wouldn't have to remove them (but the CPU still uses Dance Magic for some reason even though i didn't program it to do that).
