So I am making a hack since the beginning of this year.

I can do level layouts, ASM codes, art etc..., but I'm a shit with music. I try to learn, but with no success.

I need someone who can import music in hack. I'll give to this person the music files (.xm format) and he'll convert them to the SMPS format. The person must know how to convert songs. If you want to do this, send me a PM or answer to this topic. You have to show me your music works too (in a hack for example).

I can do level layouts, or whatever I can do to the person who is converting songs, and he'll be credited in my hack, of course.

I will take on the responsibility, if you want.

Oh yeah, if you need an example, I'll send you a ROM link.

I'd be totally up for helping with arrangements and final mastering, if you'd like. Ask anybody who's seen my work on Sonic Boom if you'd like any kind of examples of what the final results usually sound like.

The only thing I don't really bother with is the actual importing, mind you; you'll have to find someone else willing to handle that part. I suggest SOTI, personally--he's been a great help to me in particular.

Really? I could have sworn they were pretty good. Huh.

This is why you're an asshole, by the way.

I'd be willing to help you. Your hack is very good.

Also Oerg, I'd like you to look at here and see how I have improved. :)

I might as well mention that at least a couple of the songs in Tweaker's post have been imported by me and not by SOTI. Still, Tweaker's point stands, SOTI is an excellent music importer, especially when he works in tandem with someone like Tweaker who can help to prepare the input and finetune the output.

That said, I'd be up to help as well of course, since I, too, like to work in tandem with Tweaker, or even by myself. Though I am kind of lazy so yeah I think you should work with SOTI.

    I wasn't excepting so many answers =p

And finally, I don't know who will do that, because I know that all of you can do great music ports. I'll maybe PM the xm files to everyone.

Thats a really cool idea - I'd love to see a bit of competition, it would be fun to compare everyone's different takes on the source material, if you (and they) are willing to showcase the results to the public. Obviously, if you want to keep it private thats understandable.

Finally, I decided to choose Tweaker, SOTI and Nineko, to do the music ports. I'll PM you the files.
