Comments are welcome. Feature requests, too, but due to lack of time, most of them won't be in v5.0.

During the next few days I'll post screenshots and info about v5.0, maybe even a few VGMs or MP3s. Next thing to come is probably the playlist, as it has been finalized yesterday night and all songs are in. Just have to update the one I have on my website, which is from an older alpha build.

I hate to be a nag but, screenshots please? We're trying to stop people posting threads in here without them after all.

Actually, I believe it was a crackdown on threads that lack any content whatsoever - people that were making topics about their hack, but not releasing it, or showing any screens of it (the mind boggles). Since this one has four previous versions linked in the post, I'd say that easily constitutes content and so really its down o the OP if he wants to post the screenshots or not.

When it comes to screenshots, I'm pro-choice :(

Sorry to de-rail though - I recall last time I played Oergonononimised it was pretty good, lots of music and *BOOP* jump noises from when I was jumping around and bopping robots on the heads and running around loop the loops (wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) and doing spins and skids. Maybe I'll give it another go later this evening when I'm not busy, in celebration of this hack having a thread.

The only thing I dislike are the gradients, but I already told you that. Nice work, man.

Strange mix of musics: PC/Amiga demoscene and SRB2 + some new ones...

Also their audiences are a lot different: SRB2 is mostly played and followed by kids, while in the demoscene most people are at least 15 (and that's being young), and don't get lost in the "toyness" which is so common in SRB2.

By the way on the sonicresearch.org splash screen you seem to have gotten transparency wrong on Sonic's smile, and a palette problem on his face as well (under the eyes).

Also, does the manual come into play at the point where the demo is played in the original Sonic 1? It's a bit shortsighted in case it is like that, because you could make a menu choice (you know, you could jump to your procedure) instead of waiting for it, and then having it gone while you haven't finished reading.

I think you know that Toy Story uses a MOD player. It would be great if this had one as well :(

I know this is asking too much, but it could be useful for a lot of other Sonic hacks.

YES. I got around to fixing this last bug today, and therefore I present to you the Hacking Contest 2009 build of Sonic 1 Oergomized.

Be sure to check out the Credits (hint: FFFFF600:0018 in PAR code section of fusion), the replaced demo sequence, the new soundtrack and Burning Ruins Zone!

Oh and, thanks to nineko I finally could fix the bug in Diamond Maze 1.

And don't worry if you don't see any credits on my posts... You are all thanked ingame!

This thing wins the goddamn Piano Throphy for shit! It's a really cool hack, except for one little thing: The Star Light Zone palette. Hope I can see more awesomeness soon. :)

I'm going to fully disagree with that. That Star Light Zone palette is the BEST I've seen in a long time. And hearing the SSRG theme was brilliant. Good work!

    Don't get your hopes up.

But yeah, this is a pretty cool release, Oerg.
