Sonic 1 Sx edition is my first Sonic Rom Hack. My goal is to create a game with all the acts of each level different from the others as if moved by a sonic document to another in the same area at different times of day. I started by separating the pallets, the 8x8 tiles, the 16x16 tiles, and block 256 (as shown by the guides), goes on to add the water dynamics in almost all levels and adding new moves for Sonic: Spindash, jumpdash and the ability to bounce on water (waterskimming). All this was possible thanks to the excellent guides in this portal and sonic retro and an excellent starting point that has been hacking S1 studio Vladikomper. But now I'm in trouble and I would like some suggestions to complete my hack: additions, changes, etc..

A guide that I found on any portal is to implement Super Sonic and I'd love to receive aid. :) Thank you all if you could help me:)

Not much to say I'm afraid, I mean you haven't shown anything solid.( more pictures?) We do encourage people to have something solid before posting a topic. I think in future if you only have one pic, then post it in the General screenshots thread.

Personally I couldn't think of anything to suggest/add without playing the thing 1st.

And as said already you didn't give us a whole lot to work with, though it sounds good on paper we need some more evidence!

As it was said, you need to post more screenshots or show us the entire hack to get suggestions.

The only thing I can say now is that your GHZ BG is nice, I liked it somehow. It reminds me of BG in the second level of Sonic 2 Retro Remix.

Also, I didn't expect so many people to use my S1 Hacking Studio :) Well, I really have to release a new version, because this one is buggy, isn't it?

    EDIT: Grammar

The sonic 2 levelselect screen wasn't needed. I don't know how many times i've seen that. I see its early days as most is just palette edits. Though the palettes... they look like... um... dull... I guess. Not having ago, it just looks like the zones have this down feel to it. If anyone know what I mean, please explain it better than I have. On a posative note, is that a bridge in mz? haven't seen that before interesting. Also lava palette needs fixing.

Yes in MZ is a Bribge... My first intention was trasforming MZ in Bridge zone of S2 SMS I added Water in all Level Except to MZ for now and changed the deform layer and some tiles. For fully Hack intend the sonic1.ASM file with the all bin files disassembled or Simply the assembly rom? I have attached ASM file and built rom.

Here's a new version of my Hack. I started to change the layout of some areas (for now only MZ) And I'm trying to differentiate more the arts of individual acts. At the time I added water to all levels except in MZ, but I tried to build a version with the water in this level. At the moment the level is not complete because I did not add the bubbles. I would like to have an opinion on the addition of water in this level. The next step will be changing the layout of SYZ.

This is a new version of my hack that differs from that on hacktube for the addition of the effects of Rev 01. Unfortunately I suffered from an error after the final sequence that I can not solve. In any case it is the way that I decided to take on my Hack. I enclose also the screenshot with the new ART for LZ1 and MZ1. This version Use C button for Jumpdash and have water in all Levels.

well I must say I like the water and how it rises... but I dont like the way that it is really easy to get stuck underwater becasue of lack of springs or spindash... however keep at it and I reckon you have a decent hack brewing.

Thanks for the feedback, the initial lack of spindash is desired, but you can acquire with the first chaos emerald, how do you acquire jumpdash with the second. Theoretically GHZ3 you already have all the moves. For sources I will make add others, but I have problems with the graphics of the bubbles when unsightly. The last level is deliberately SBZ without bubbles and can be overcome only by google monitors search in the previous levels (It seemed like a good idea, but I still have my doubts ... what do you think?). Any suggestion is welcome:)

Hi, New version of my hack with the addition of new music for the Special Stage (GHz SMS) and the second act of GHZ (Bridge areas SMS). Credit to TheProf thank you for providing me with the two musics.

I took a look at your asm and its like I thaught - add the Nem_Bubbles to the file Inc_\patern load cues.asm to get the bubbles to show... still working on the countdown numbers...

Hi, Many thanks for the straight. As per your suggestion, I adjusted the line of surface water, small bubbles and splash. Unfortunately, placing the line surface, same 8x8 blocks have been modified and I have to fix them. I attach the current version.

just took a look at the new build - I think this is a vram issue... the water surface object is overwriting some of the tiles - perhaps try using the space used by the points from the badnik object and remove the object (I did this in redemption)
