Since the Showroom is currently read-only, I wasn't sure where to put this.

Anyway, after another couple of months I tried hard to get a new release finished and here it is! I tried to get rid of some problems and added a lot of new random, totally crazy ideas, that just don't fit into the any game, to tell the truth.

Of course I'd like to get some opinions on it. I especially want to hear how hard the hack is for you, and how much shit doesn't make any sense to you. =P

There isn't really much to show off when it comes to screenshots, but you might wanna look at this:

If you played the first version, you probably remember these. They're back, and in the waterfall area of the first level they still aren't destroyable (later on they are though). You will see why once you touch one. =P

Oh, I also want to advise you, this is a DAMN hard hack. I want you to see everything you should see in the normal play, so if you fail at one level, you can always use the "Air Move on B" function. Or if you don't want that, you can use level select. The level order is:

    • GHZ 2 (Intro Level)
    • GHZ 1
    • GHZ 3
    • MZ 1 (for the hyper sonic like section you can also press A B C to skip it immediately, because it appears to be the hardest part of all.
    • LZ 2
    • FZ
Don't ask why it's such a weird order, I had my reasons. :v:

I'm also asking you to play Special Stage 1, even if that requires millions of save states.

But other than that, nothing to tell you, so here's the download:

    PS: Thanks a LOT to:

I like it, the ideas in here are good and the asm that is done in here I think is pretty good also, good job. The difficulty isn't too bad for m, might even go to say jus right :D . Also is lz meant to be as it is? I like the idea, can't get past it though lol.

You beat me to saying it, :D but still nice job on this. Only things I had trouble with are LZ and the Special Stages (it took me 21 save state uses for SP. Stage 1.) Also some of the little touches were nice (The Hyper Sonic-esque instant kill dash with invincibility, for example.) I only wish I had a cookie to give for such amazing (crazy) work ;P.

Excellent hack! It makes sense of a completely new game somehow. Music and bosses are awesome, as well as the ideas you used.

The only bad thing about this hack is difficulty. It's too hardcore sometimes, especially LZ2 and special stage. Though now I can beat a half of it without save states. :D

I gotta say that this one lots more better than the first release. I liked the idea of how you tried to make the zone start off like a kind of sonic unleashed style type with him starting out running. I also like you choice of music that you used in this release as well. as for LZ, it's almost impossible to get through lol. pretty hardcore hack I gotta say. keep it up ;)

Today I was a bored, so I decided to make a little preview of a future release, showing off new features of my way too hard Special Stage. A lot of people told me, the stage is impossible, so I made it easier without touching the layout.

What it is you might ask? Checkpoints! You can't fail the special stage anymore, you can only rage at special parts, which are still too hard for you.

Oh and if you still aren't able to beat the stage,

hold down A while the game is booting up
    .

Thanks to MarkeyJester and DalekSam for the song at the very end.

I think the difficulty lies in the constant jump height rather than the level architecture. Very nice job though ^_^

Ah the music from shinobi 3, thats a nice looking stage. Good idea on the check point idea, so in away you are being forced to complete it? or will there perhaps be an option to avoid special stages?

You will be able to skip it by pressing start. Infact, that was already implented before I made this demo, but there was no reason to put it in here as well.

And yes, the jump height really is a problem. I totally forgot to add it. I will upload a rev soon.
