This isn't to put Xero down, he was unlucky that he found the homing attack where someone had released stolen content. I'm sure he's removed it by now.

Edit: fff spelt his name wrong.

sure did remove it after i found out that it was in fact the same homing attack code that megamix had, whoever took it tried to seem like they made themselves with a little edits to it (damn bastard  ) . but yeah i removed it already. also as for what you said eduardoknuckles, yes I still intend on making some art changes, as well as some level layout changes along with some other things that I have planned so the actual release wont be done for a while.

Yeah, fortunately you noticed the fuckin' bad code and removed this in time. -...Edit: Removed stff I'm really tired of see MILLIONS of hacks with homing attack. ...Edit: Removed stff You can bet your hack's stuff with other great kind of data, like SOTI's (or it was Hitaxas's?? I don't remember who did it) Jumpdash, that gives speed and is fantastic too. And it's free for any public since you give properly the credits for the original author, like any other kind of "tutorial" stuff or "Yeah, I used his tool!" stuff. (If my memory doesn't fails). ...Edit: Removed stff I'll wait for the next release and if you need music/sound stuff, I'd be happy to make some for you like I'm making for SSD.

On the topic on retro I linked to, he said it was someone on youtube and it was an open source project. With stolen content from megaix of course. Its ALWAYS megamix.

    Aaaaaanyways.....

Looking at the video I am disappointed, I was expecting to see something with a little more kick, something that's unique and brand new, but it seems I'm let down once again.

Your hack would be what I would call a "Standard" Hack, it has all the same features, similar design and even the same issues as the other hacks we've seen posted here in the past few years, it's just so bland and repetitive from previous works, sorry to say it but I can see the lazy points just from the video (Like the grass Shadows for example).

You'll have to do better if you want something awesome.

gotta agree with markey about the level of hacks being standard lately... the only 2 that have blown my mind in last 6 months are Sonic 1 & 2 and Sonic 2 Hereos (AWESOME), On the subjectof megamix leaked code in everybody and there dogs hack I find that the best way to stay safe is to only accept code snippets from people with high regaurd or program what you need yourself using the guides and info on the internet.

You should place your springs either at 16px from the wall or 40px+ (from the center of the spring of course), otherwise it's really easy to get stuck between the wall and the spring, and waiting for the counter to explode is a really boring way to die.

Also, some collisions are wrong, it's especially easy to notice when you aren't at full speed. You should check them.

The thing I can only suggest is try and improve on the layout, and trying programming some features yourself. Of course I'd like to see some art also =P. I the ghz bg as it is doesn't work. Try a mish mash.

Agreed with Animemaster. I liked much more a few of the previous GHZ BG's. As for the layouts, you've got the idea of a good one, but it doesn't flow quite correctly. Of the idea, I meant... You made speedy layouts, and a Sonic game actually is focused on speed (But yeah, there might be a few hacks without that concept, that are quite good also!) It's an OK hack, but it's in need of some work. If you need some help, just PM me or something!

But the effort is always essential, and it's what also counts. Keep improving!

Yeah. In addition, Xero... Are you planning new characters for the hack's future?

Xero, will you use original SEGA characters (like Tails, Knux...) or you will use some fan characters?

at first when i started on this hack from the beginning, it was going to originally and still is going to have at least 2-3 playable characters which would be either sonic and shadow, or sonic and scourge, or all three together.

After spending my time on making some art edits on SonED2 for my hack, I want to show what I have done for some of the zones so far. (Thinking about changing some of them though.)

    Paradise Hills

    Ancient Ruins

    Speeddust City

Suggestions are welcome if any of you think I should make some changes.

Those are some really neat modifications on the art you did there. The only thing I gotta complain about is the name "Ancient Ruins", which I've seen in quite a lot hacks and really gets old.

and sorry i coulnt resist to fix your english

Wow, there's some interesting art stuff. I like the originality of this. The only problem on this is that has too much contrast. If you work on some texturized buildings that could be better and I like all the pictures you posted. They are simple, but nice. But particularly this one is very interesting for my eyes. Very nice stuff I saw.
