Besides being the smallest Sonic 1 hack made at a ROM size of 476KB, this hack has three unique modes to play.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA3gsijBzFI

    -Classic (Original Sonic 1)

-Time Attack (Needs Some Work, but allows you to select and play one level and select another after beating it.)

    - Survival (A new mode that's very unique, play through the original Sonic 1, well, until the timer runs out....)

Mainly focused to be a competitive standard (Speed Runs, etc.) this hack is simple yet complex enough to do it.

NOTE Any Staff Member that sees my submission in the Repository feel free to to unapprove it unless

it is really worthy of being there. I didn't see this forum earlier.

I'd advise you to remove all code by OuricoDoico as he is nothing but a thief who uses stolen source code from other hacks.

I made this hack long before word got around about him and wiped out my hard drive so I lost my files, but because of that the next version is going to made completely from scratch. I used only the tutorials that he explained fully so I thought they were his. I clearly understand where you're coming from though. If someone puts a code claiming it to be theirs (Hack of Shame) sometimes it not always 100% theirs.

That still doesn't mean that he created those codes himself. he probably just looked at the codes he stole, studied it and probably figured since he knows how it works, he post it as tutorial and say that he made it himself knowing he didn't. to put it short, it's basically like this. he steals the code, then make it public. but yeah if i were you, regardless of it being tutorials made by him, I also would suggest that you remove it. (to the admins) Forgive me if it may seem like im backseat modding here. If I am then I apologize for that.

Again, as I said, the next version is going to be made from scratch. I only found one minor piece of code from him and decided to use it. The other credits are for the spindash and speed cap. The other 90% of the code I used is mine.

Honestly? I don't see what the problem is, what exactly is stolen? And does anyone really care?

Dispite the whole stolen thing going around, it's actually not a bad hack, it's clean and decently set out, and in the end, that's what I like to see. Could do with work though, something to make it a bit more encouraging to play, perhaps a little notification to say whether I beat my own time or not would be nice!

Thanks MarkeyJester, I'll put that towards the list for version 2. This one is pretty stripped down (476Kb, quite smaller than the original S1) but let me see what I can do.
