I have to make back-ups. My knowledge of ASM is currently quite limited, so I'm working at changing some variables here and there just to see how it turns out. If it fails, I jump back to a previous back up that I had, attempt to fix the mistake I made and try again. If I keep failing, I usually go back to a clean disassembly. If I'm doing something that I'm confident with, then I might use the method SuperEgg mentioned above, with Ctrl+Z.

Try sublime. It's a hell of a lot better.

I use ConTEXT to edit ASM files, and I use Notepad++ to edit the SonED2 stuff because, as usual, nothing else cooperates with the SonED2 stuff =P

I use Crimson Editor or Emerald Editor, whatever they are calling it now.  I don't like notepad++ much.

    Sublime?  What makes it better?

Well, regardless of what text editing programs we use (it's a pointless argument =P), I am still trying to do some stuff with my hack while waiting for the title screen fix. Hopefully, someone can figure it out, because I sure as hell couldn't XD

EDIT: Decided to backpedal once more and just full-on replace the Clone Driver file with the one from when it was fixed the first time. Still keeping all music selections, though - I won't be scrapping any of the current songs. I have Watered Relic Act 2 finished, and I'll have the file up in the General Screenshot/Movie Thread when it's ready. Note that until Gens Rerecording wants to cooperate, I still record my AVI's via Fusion, so you'll have to download them. Sorry 'bout dat =P

I kind of already told you how to make a Gens recording. look further back into this thread, or maybe it was in the PMs we sent. If you cant find it Ill tell you how to do it again.

The recording the movie is easy. It's the having-to-sit-there-while-the-AVI-records part that, for me, is difficult. I'm an impatient man =P

Wait what that would mean its cooperating you just dont have the patience to work it.

Edit: Also if you dont have the patience for that then hacking isnt for you since its trial amd error and is very time consuming.

Was there any need to make a two word post?

    I looked at your "hack".

You are triggering a Line1111Emu exception.

What did you change in the title screen?  Art? mappings?

And what Art files or mapping files ( or whatever it is you changed)?

All Depends. I have a friend who's created a custom set for m68K, so, it seems a hell of a lot better. Not to mention, you can find shit a hell of a lot better.

Crimson Editor has that as a selectable preset.  But I discovered it a looooong time after using it, so I am used to the default setting now.

Maybe I'll look at Sublime and see what I think.

    Thanks.

NEITHER. I CHANGED NOTHING ABOUT THE TITLE SCREEN.

It won't load. And plus, I decided to backpedal to when the Clone Driver was fixed and go from there. So I don't need the problem fixed for the time being. Plus, what is a Line1111Emu?

If you're happy with what you use already, why change?  I'm happy with notepad2 and it's never let me down.  So I might as well stick with that.  Like Xeno dis.  Everyone says the HG is better, but I'm happy with Xeno =P
