I will fix those tiles, just to let you know. Also I'll need to do more work on it since my summer holidays end on the 21st August meaning back to school! That area did have ploblems since some badniks were upside down but they will be sorted.

    Double Post: Update time everyone!

Yesterday I fixed the Death Egg background & Cyber City is now scrapped, it will now be known as Doomsday Mech & will come after Egg Rocket. Doomsday Mech is a 3 act zone, the third being the final boss, anyway image time!

Pallete is Death Egg, new background

The area with the water in Act 2 is scrapped, use these spring platforms to get to the top.

Quick boss at the end of Act 2.

    Beginning of Act 3!

    Silver Sonic Arena.

How the hell can Eggman run that fast?

    Time for the Final Boss!

Let's get off this space ball before it explodes!

The ending, after a few seconds we're back to the sky.

That has to be one of the best cave zones I have ever seen.

I really like Cave Zone's pallete.

When the boss appears, it loads a different pallete. It'll get fixed. Also that is now Dark Refinery Zone.

Brilliant palette for DRZ, best one so far (the rest suck IMO). Also, triple post=FAIL!

Oh heck yeah, this mod = fucking sweet. New palettes certainly add a new feel, it makes it look a completely different game, even though it is still Sonic 2, in it's retrospective. I cannot wait for a demo to play, that's how good it looks. More updates please :3

Sonic Boom has kindly asked to help with the level layouts along with me so they should be a Green Grass demo soon along with other levels with their implemented palletes. Green Grass will be removed of that "Straight Line" area along with those upside down badniks.

I see potential for this hack, altough the lack of ASM features disappoints me. But, if it's really good, it won't matter.

Sonic Boom managed to find me at RetroHack so all is well now for the project. Here's the latest update concerning palletes & about the demo.

Demo 1 is coming soon once I get the file, get the title cards sorted out etc. Maybe a YouTube video showcasing the new stuff added. Beta testers get it 1 day early then you'll get what you want, an official demo!

That mystic cave zone look even more cave than original version.

after first pics i thought that there is nothing special, but when i saw your other pics, i realize that you can make nice palettes.

    *raises hand for Beta Testing*

This hack looks superb. Some of the best pallets for Sonic two that I have ever seen!

One thing, is there going to be any Art changes? I wouldn't expect ASM because you can't split it once you have the Lost Levels not lost anymore.

    Love the DRZ Pallet.

I've got my beta testers sorted out, I don't want a whole load of testers however you can help with Sonic 1 Epsilon though.

I think you can only do art changes with a split disassembly, I downloaded the Nemesis version but any changes made will get the red checksum error & if you fix it all you get is a blank black screen. So for now I'll stick to just using SonED 1 & some other tools.

I honestly hope that you're being sarcastic, because all of the palettes he presented thus far are either shit or clichéd.

Okay, what the hell are you on? You can do anything you want with a split disassembly, the only limitations are your imagination/skills and the Genesis' capabilities. There's an auto fix checksum option in Gens and Kega, and I don't see any reason why your ROM should mess up unless you've done something wrong.

And by the way, I'd recommend you use Aurochs' disassembly - it's better labeled, builds faster, targets a superior assembler and is compatible with SonED2 out-of-the-box. You'll have to make your own SonED2 project files, but that's a five minute job.

The only reason you get the black screen is because you used the ESE Lost Levels Patch, didn't you? Because that messes up the HEX and the offsets, you need to do it the manual way (check RHS's guide) if you want it to work with split disassembly. I don't think it would work though. And yes, I like those pallets seriously.
