wasn't sure were to post this so I will just post it here. anywho, my reason in giving this out to everyone. Since I had some samples from Sonic 3 But wasn't going to be using them, I figured and thought, Sure we have those who would rather prefer the original drums that's already within sonic 1, no fuss there. but like me, there are also others who would rather have a different set of instruments being played in their hacks, and one That I have yet to stop seeing or hearing is how they would like to have s3 drums being played within their music for their hacks. Well with this simple Edit of a regular Sonic 1 Hivebrian 2005 Disassembly, I have done just that for those who would wish to have the S3 drums played in their hacks. not much of major editing or anything, but just a small and simple one. anyway, Changes that has been modified:

    • Sonic 2 clone Driver Implemented and modified
    • Sonic 3 drums (just the kick and snare samples have been changed)
    • Sample pitch modified for kick and snare samples
    Updated Changes

    • Timpani Sample replaced and edited
    • Crash Sample added
    New Updated Changes (11/3/13)

    • S1 PSG Samples Removed
    • S3 PSG Samples Implemented
Of course with these small changes, You can still modify the drums with ones you think fits, or just the driver itself. So without further a do, Download to your likings and feel free to modify this however you want.

    Download:Sonic 1 S3 Drums Disassembly Update.zip(Link Updated)

    Cheers.

I've never been fond of the overuse of Sonic 3 drums within this community.

BUT, let me not be a party pooper, your work and kindness in sharing this should be more than appreciated. Nice work.

Mind you, having said that, doesn't Sonic 3 have more than 6/7 samples? Why only 6/7?

I have the other samples, but haven't implemented them since i'm still trying to figure out how to edit them to where the music plays them with out any problems of hearing little bits of the other samples while one is already being played. once Iv'e done that, I will update the link with a new one but for the time being, I just made it pretty simple to where users just have the kick and snare drums replaced.

Behold, all the samples from S3 for MegaPCM

I thought I made this topic obvious enough.. oh well, it's neat to start something for a different driver, I guess. Pitches should work out the same, just take the ones I have, also consider banking the samples manually.

didn't notice the part where you said i could use those samples in other drivers. Guess I got some editing to do then if that's the case.

Don't be sorry, this is a very legitimate use of a double post (and bump). You posted an interesting update about an ongoing project, which other chance did you have? Editing your previous post would have left this update as unnoticed. In these cases feel free to post 2, 3, infinite times in a row. Don't look at the moderation as if we were the bad guys. A double post within a few minutes is a bad thing because it clutters up the topic for nothing, likewise you shouldn't really bump other people's topics to post things like "can I has betaa". But don't misread the rules, updates can and should be posted whenever relevant, so thank you for what you're doing with this thing (even though I'm never going to use it, I'm sure it will be useful to someone).
