(Note: I am a semi-beginner at ASM editing and rom hack. If something is not up to quality, then please link me to something if you can to help me improve in that regard.)
Welcome to Sonic 1 CES Revival, the goal of this project is to recreate the beta elements of Sonic The Hedgehog and building on top of it. The following have been edited in this version listed for download.
Parts of level layout have been edited in GHZ Act 1, GHZ Act 2, GHZ Act 3, MZ Act 1, the level order is now GHZ, LZ, MZ, SLZ, SYZ, SBZ 1-2, FZ, the pallets of GHZ, MZ, and the background of SBZ, and speaking of background edits, the backgrounds of LZ, MZ, SYZ, and SBZ have been edited, I have added 3 rings to FZ, and added the S Monitor and it's function (As to where it is as of now, you will have of found it.)
    Screenshots:
New pallet and starting level layout.
    A new loop-de-loop in act 2.
Remember this troll spring? Now, there's a shield.
    New boss arena.
    Before changing zones.
    After changing zones.
Does Marble Zone look different to you?
Aaannnddd a troll badnik. Hello, Yardin.
Instead of pillars, the place is crumbling!
This is where the S Monitor is.
    "Hey, there's no switch!
    "I'll jump in frustration!"
    "Huh, it moved."
This is how LZ now looks.
    Here's the new Spring Yard.
    Hey, look! Sparkles!
    Here's how SBZ 1 looks.
    "Time to finish Robuttnik off!"
This in NO WAY represents the final version planned.
    Credits: Stealth for making SonED2.

You used the wrong link. It links to the hope page for your account, previewing the hack download from there, but since other people don't have access to that....yeah.

Also your images don't display on here.

Another thing is that it will not let me download the hack because I do not have a drop box account, so please directly upload the bin to the forums.

With the image links, just go to the imgur links they take you to, then right click on the images themselves, and then set them as the image links here.

Welp, I finally played the hack, and I am disappointed. GHZ is pretty much the same with some new chunks here and there. Marble zone just has minor pallet edit, and the clouds are gone. Spring yard has a bunch of bars/lines now instead of vegetation, The "stars" do not look good at all, plus they blink for some reason, and the clouds are gone again. What is it with you and the atmosphere? The pallets on spring yard are not eye-pleasing, either. As for labyrinth zone, it is just labyrinth with poorly drawn "crystals" as a background, and the blackness of the background turning blue. Starlight has no changes so far I see. Scrap brain is pretty much normal, besides a pretty bad edited version of the act 2 background. Act 2 and 3 have some minor changes. And the final boss has some rings now. In my opinion, you should of waited to release this hack, because it feels very rushed. And ya, what is that word that people use? Quality over quantity? Ohhhh....Well, all I can say is that all you need to do is take some time and work on peace by peace till you get that section done, because I do see some potential in you.

The fact that you got criticism is not a order to remove everything. What you need to do instead is to do your best to improve your work. That's how it always works, you can not evolve without criticism. Listen to it and use it to your advantage.

I know. I am planning to start over. Criticism is the key to improvement, after all. The thread I wish I could delete, though.

Okay, so there isn't much in this hack that makes it stand out.
If you aren't using a disassembly or the SonLVL/SonED2 tools, you should get those.
ESII isnt exactly that good of a tool if you are using it, its very limited.

Wish you good luck on your hack.

I am infact using the GitHub disassembly with SonED2, I might of used SonLVL, but AVG picks it up as a trojan horse for some reason. I am planning on completely redoing the hack just to improve it. I would change the title cards, but I don't understand the system, and I can't get Sonic 1 Text Code Generator to work. And I would of added the spindash, but errors. Anyway, thanks for the good luck.

Anyone with sense should not be using Sonic Hacking Studio. Learn how to do things yourself, stop being spoon fed with suspicious programs.

Yeah, it is true, but its a good reference in ASM, and can help him get some footing before remaking things.
Well, for using it in hacks, that's not really a good way to start off. Without ASM knowledge, you wont really get into new things.
There is a couple guides online on how to work with 68k.
