This makes me want to put some bad-ass art in my hack. Keep it up, I can't wait for a beta release.

More Stuff! took a while, but once the basic outline of the mountains was done, the shading was pretty easy...

But, i have the problem of the art loading, but is all buggered...

Obviously i'm using SonED2, and i know about Splitting/Combining the ghz8x8.bin file etc, But i'm guessing this is to do with a subroutine that loads the dynamic artwork. If anyone can help me out here, i'll be very grateful.

Edit: Note that these mountains are based completely on the ones ritz drew for me in talent exchange (on sonic retro).

Them mountains look a lot better with that shading. Good job on that.

As for the bugger-up, did you change Sonic's starting position? It may have triggered that, or not, I don't know. I know changing Sonic's starting position in S1 does something bad.

I bet you edited the combined GHZ art file... did you resplit it afterwards so the actual art was in-game?

Yup, i edited the combined, but i did split it too. I've tried putting the art in again but making the ghz8x82.bin file bigger, and now the build.bat doesnt finish for some reason. I'll give it another go, without adding any new tiles. =P

The level reminds me of Sonic65's Straight Line Zone in the Sonic 1 Epsilon hoax he did. This new level kicks ass! Well done.

Wow, i'm on a roll today!

I've implimented a double jump, which allows sonic to jump higher, but using it makes sonic vunerable to badniks.

I've this second fixed a bug, where repeatedly pressing the jump button makes sonic Fly =D

    Screens Soon. (i'm hoping anigif)

Definately the best background art I have seen since Labyrinth in MegaMix.

    Keep up the good work!

This waterfall in the background looks bad. I think you can improve on this. Everything else is fine.

Well, that waterfall below the trees was supposed to be like water running from under the bushes, through the branches, and down a wall =P

The waterfall on the Mountain is actually supposed to be like water running down it, but i got lazy there =P

Also, the new level art i've made

(Same image as higher up on the page)

I have some ideas for that, which i'm going to try out.

I know, but it doesn't look very good. It'd be better if you couldn't see the wall.
