Hah, good luck with that one. Looks like there's way too many unique tiles.

That is a nice screen, but it looks damn near impossible to put into your rom. Good luck.

And if you do put it in, cal it Cactus Zone.

I don't think I have seen so many Cactai in my life.

That's the tiles(not complete) for the foreground. background, well.

I really don't do tiles for hacks use(one pillar is not going to be used, by the way). I really just post images here for opinions.

All 100% original code btw, though it feels pretty close to S3K's.

If you notice, the S3 life icon has a blue eye, which was already fixed. I'd probably get the newer version and replace it.

Excellent work, Puto. The shields from S3&K really brings this hack to it's name, Sonic 1 Remastered. So I've got an idea. I've seen one of Cinossu's videos for S1EE & after the boss a save post fell to the ground. Couldn't you do something like that with the signpost?

No, floating signposts without minibosses would just feel out of place, imo.

I'm no expert but would it fit into the V-Ram though?

That's actually the best desert zone art I've seen, more better than Sonic 65's desert zone art (no offence). I do hope this art is implemented, it will be a good zone to play.

I agree with rika, but the backgrouund caactuses may take a bit of work. That will take a lot of colurs though

I'm not bothered to make a topic yet since not a lot has been done yet. The dreaded hack has returned AKA Sonic 1 Epsilon. Started from scratch, no more ripped off shit & some added meat such as the perfect spindash & some custom art such as the life icon & the starpost. Also notice Scrap Brain Act 2, showing a background similar to the 8-bit version of SBZ2. Thanks go to the SCAA for art, in which I will be editing most of it, Puto & Lightning for the perfect spindash guide & PsychoSk8r for helping me fix a few bugs. Note this is just a side project.

That starpole from S2E is in here as well. I'm still making fixes to it, perhaps fixing some colours but there's my modified S3&K starpole.

I have implemented the spindash, this time not the glowing cocks version, the real thing. Thanks again to Puto & Lightning for making this possible.

The new background for Scrap Brain Act 2, inspired by the 8-bit version of Scrap Brain Act 2.

Yet to be modified Sonic CD slicer, credit to the SCAA.

Another SCD bit of art. I'll be modifying that soon, easy to do, again SCAA but don't worry, it will be modified. Also notice the life icon, a mix of Sonic 3K & Sonic 1, easy to do.

Eduardo Knuckles already did the same background for his S1 Harder Levels hack.

What he did was completely different, he had Scrap Brain Act 1's BG in act 2 & act 2's BG in act 1. I'll show you a screenshot of his BG:

My act 2 is based on the dark areas of the 8-bit rendition, thanks for letting me know but there is NO similarity, sorry.

    Edit: See the results yourself.

That loks interesting. But it looks like Sonic can go on the grass bit when he spindashes up, making it easy to hit Eggman.
