I saw this video some time ago, I even wrote you a big comment, but after had sent it, the comment didn't appear.

So, I'll try to write about this video again.

You did some great work. I like new Sonic abilities and level layouts. New music is awesome as well. =)

But "S1 Hacking Studio" among the tags confused me. Seeing you good at ASM, level and art editing, I just can't understand why have you used my program?

Sonic sprite, and I used it as a head-start. Oh, and about the ASM, I mostly programmed the Double-Jump and Slash-Down (name pending) moves by stealing borrowing code from Selbi's Jump Dash.

Level Layouts, signpost behavior, and in a release that will be in January, you'll see some more custom code! ;)

    You are lying.

Hmm, the sprites are looking like they were made with S1 Hacking Studio. But looks good so far.

Way I read it was, he used it for that, and stole borrowed jumpdash code or some crazy bullshit.

That's not even borrowing, you've just modificated Selbi's code ;)

Everyone starts ASM-edits with modificating done subroutines, making own subroutines up from parts of done code.

Even my Homing Attack bouncing uses Selbi's code, but with some changes and fixes.

Well, my code is open for anyone, so it's not stealing or borrowing. But for some reason I lol'd though.

    Great work!

Are you making S1 edition of Sonic 2? =)

I tried to port SBZ into Sonic 2 some time ago, because somebody asked me to make a video of Sonic 1 gameplay featuring Tails, just for fun. I had to made pseudo Sonic 1.

I successfully changed HUD, ported level art, but 16x16 blocks in chunks and collision data were in a mess. I decided to make up the chunks manually, so I had only 8 128x128 chunks done after 4 hours of work! That was enough for me, so I made semi-empty level and recorded a video.

Oh, I forgot to say about the BG. I didn't know how to remove BG deformation, so I just made custom background.

    I've got this:

    /monthly_12_2009/post-1012-1262015684_thumb.gif /monthly_12_2009/post-1012-1262015691_thumb.gif

It's looks inaccurate, because I did it not for me, but for the man who asked me about it.

Maybe I shouldn't do such great work for such a stupid purpose.
