I lol'd because every noob asks that. Just to make sure you don't miss understand me, it's possible, but there is no mp3 to smps converter. You need knowledge about music and everything.

This question has been solved? A "you have to know everything" makes it solved? Hilarious

    Here's the deal.

'.bin' or SMPS music files are compiled like so:

They have channels, like MIDI channels--each uses a voice, or instrument. They are played in realtime when you play your game. MP3 isn't. You'd need to either make it from scratch with hex (look at Retro's music guide) or create a MIDI, then use Modplug to convert it to XM, then shove it into your Sonic 1 driver rom.

Or you could use Sonic 65's PCM sound driver (also on Retro), but beware, it's quite buggy when it comes to sound effects.

So yeah, imports are the best option.

Couldn't resist saying that instead of creating a MIDI you could, like, youknow, directly make an XM.
