Might as well post this here too, as SSRG is the reason I made it...

That looks quite good, GT. Now, it's my turn:

This object will appear in my hack.

    Basically, it elevates Sonic.

    Um, no =P

But I studied them, and the objects guide from retro, and I'm getting the idea. That's it.

Wow, that's the coolest zone ever done in a Sonic hack.

    Deox, that is cool too.

I like those balloons, Deox. So do they behave like in Sonic 3 or they just bounce Sonic away without disappearing?

    Thanks.

Sonic will have to get into someone's pants if he wants to finish the zone.

I might need some tips in making the pants more "rounded." Got any?

I have a big tip: draw chunks with paint and save in bmp (16 colors, 128x128), then convert to PCX and import it with SonED

Made the bg. This is the top part.

    Another picture.

Retro's IRC didn't seem to like the familiarity of the clouds, and called the bg "simple."

I can see why they would say simple. It's kind of hard to get a reading on what kind of level it's suppose to be based on that background. The flags and clouds are key things that suggest it's some kind of carnival or outdoor circus, but it's still not quite clear. Another thing I see that could use some work is that everything appears to be flat. Granted there is some sense of volume and depth there, but it's not very strong. I think this might be as a result of your tendancy to dither and shade right around the edges of an object instead of a bit more towards the center. Work on those things and I believe you'll see a big difference there.

Weird, but at the same time awesome. Good work, GT Koopa.

Here's a question. Will this zone be implemented on Flicky Turncoat?

Ok, take 2. No, this isn't for Flicky Turncoat DX. Laundry Zone isn't top down. It also isn't for the Sonic 2 hack either. What it IS for I cannot tell you.

    Edit:

With palette suggestions by Markey, I reworked the bg.

GTKoopa, That's MUCH better, it's more smoother and has shadows and lighting now, it's a bit more realistic too, nice work!

Darkon, repetetive patterns are repetetive, sorry, it's a tad too bland and basic for my tastes
