"Sonic Fan Remix" is a very imaginative and graphically impressive Sonic fangame which has been in development for some time by pelikan13 and others. After much drooling over the screenshots by fans, a demo was released today, which you can download at our official mirror site directly: http://sonicresearch.org/sonicfanremix/

I don't think my computer is good enough to run it. :(

Just mess around with the graphical settings and resolution until you get a mode which is playable to you.

Also, thanks for the mirror. Since the main links have gone down, this should do for a while.

You can also see something about that game on Sonic Retro.

You can also go to the homepage of Retro.

Yes, most of the discussion has taken place in this topic over at SR.

Well, seeing as I'm banned from Retro I get to post my thoughts here. :(

Looks damn good for a fan-made game and runs very well on my system. It'll be interesting to see the full game when its released.

That was fucking awesome. Some minor collision issues here and there and the odd Dimps Syndrome enemy placement when landing from a spring jump, otherwise a fucking pleasure to sit and play. Not too sure about the Robotnik flags all over the place, the Roboland sign in the BG, or Robotnik in his Mecha Robotnik Walker from S2's Death Egg at the start of act 1. The orca jumping over one of the bridges was a nice touch.

The only downside about this game is that it's 100 MB and so awesome that everyone wants it. Seriously, this thing ate more bandwidth in an hour than an entire day together:

Yeah, the whole reason I setup the torrent and the tracker was because Qjimbo was telling me how the HTTP downloads were raping the server's resources.

You should edit that post and erase those parentheses to make the links work. And yes, I am using Google Translate for some words.

    Aren't you English?

    Ok, now on topic:

This game looks pretty good, but I also share OrdosAlpha's cents, the collision issues and the Dimps enemy placement. Graphically it's complete of awesomeness, very realistic. The orcas jumping are very cool. The music sounds fun. But, hey, it's a better version of Sonic The Hedgehog 2, isn't it supposed to be? What I wish is that Pelikan and the rest of the people that are working on this fan game keep up the work they are doing. Absolutely a game worth to play. Recommended.

It's supposed to be more awesome, because it'll have Sonic 1 - 3 levels for sure and maybe CD (CD in Remix-style will be epicness)
