It might be because of a virus that was recently on your computer snuck into those folders and made copies of themselves. Did you back up your stuff?

Edit: Or it could just be because the anti-virus THINKS those files are trojans. I know because my anti-virus was detecting a file in my Steam directory as a virus which I know wouldn't happen or Valve would've been sued ;P

Edit 2: Also if those files were never detected as trojans before, just ignore it.

I know it can't be a Trojan cause I tried using SonMapEd before and there was never a trojan. I would say just ignore it unless it does minor/major damage to your PC

What is your anti virus software there is some anti virus software that is fake and tricks you into buying it maybe you have that.

I have used a combanation of programs to get rid of some nastey viruses

    First run combofix

    Then run tddskiller

Now finally run malawarebytes Download the free version

Ok so I assume that by arctiq quoting my post then Mike B Berry's post you are saying that is impossible for Mike to run the software that would fix his computer.

Mike can run the computer in safe mode with networking then download the software (safe mode disables most stuff that runs on startup including the virus) While in safemode Mike should run all the software restart the computer and run all the software in normal mode (not safe mode).

It has registry errors, and is lagged here and there, but no viruses have been detected.

Never knew about SonMapED, but my virus scanner always thinks that the first SonED is a virus. No idea why though. I add it to the trust list and it still thinks it's one.

If anything, this is a testament to use a good AV. Files infect others and THEN the things will have the data of malware. Malware Bytes is good in a pinch, but you need something that's actually going to friggin' work. I don't have any recommendations myself, but again, just be careful where you visit and what you download - anything can become infected and then you're essentially fucked.

SonMapED as far as I know doesn't contain any malware (Much like RHS for SonED, it should not contain malware), so you have either terrible AV software popping up false-negatives or something's infected it somewhere.

I never had this problem myself, until SonMapED randomly stopped working the other day. I re-downloaded it, and what do you know my AV thinks its a virus, but I just told it its safe and it worked. Strange though, its never happened before and the fact that someone else has had this happen as well... I dunno.
