Decided to work a bit on my projects again, I decided to do something different this time. Considering that S3K contains the level transition, I thought in doing a day/night transition in some levels, including the change of music as well.

For now, I just have two pictures of that as for some reason I can't record videos anymore...

    Emerald Hill (Night)

Hey, I ALWAYS have a creative crisis, and look at what I did.

If you need any ideas, I have a couple for you. 1) you could change the pattern on the blocks (the ones with faces), 2) you could add the Moon to the background, and C) the water could do with some sort of reflection.

As for stuff I did, here's a minor graphical edit to Green Hill Zone.

Also, this palette is new. If you look closely, you'll see it's slightly darker than the original GHZ palette.

EDIT: Actually, I'm thinking about reverting some of my changes.

    Hello dear guys.

I here recently, but I want to show you what I can do in the Rom Hacking.

    I like music and ASM.

With palette and I always have problems.

But I think you can still show that I have already done.

I know this is new and all, but the way you made it (not to be rude) seemed kinda trippy. Horribly trippy at that. The pallet looks like the color of piss and your level layouts need some serious tweaking, unless you purpousely made it like that. That and some of your song edits in terms of the tempo was way to fast.

To be honest, I like how energetic everything is. A lot of odd chunk and object placements though (what is that at the top of the screen at 0:44?), but it looks like it could be something interesting with a bit more work.

I got bored and decided to record two more videos.

Mighty here is only capable of wall jumping at the moment, don't know what else I want to give him to make him as versatile as Sonic with his shield abilities. Different time zones now have their own layouts, and I also changed the way time travel works. Now you start up in the location of the signpost you touched before warping. It's just a bit easier to work with, but I'll probably try working on the original method again later.

Changed up the boss fight a bit. Added a vertical section at the end, just to make it a bit more interesting (and to give Mighty a slight edge over Sonic since he doesn't have a Peel-out to abuse for speed). Also put an emerald at the end. If Metal reaches it before Sonic (as shown in the video), his attacks and movement speed are much faster (though I may tone it down a bit, just to make it slightly easier).

By the way, what would everyone think of the title "Sonic: South Island Warped"?

    Hah, fantastic!!

That is extremely impressive so far! I would however like to hear different music for the different acts. But the layouts are fantastic, clean and look enjoyable, the vertical race up to the boss area with metal Sonic was unexpected and works great!! Well done!

Shockwave, in truth you don't stop surprising me, it has everything. Regarding the name did you think for the hack, I like it. Excellent job!

And well, this is what I did recently:

Still need an adjustment in the BG deformation. :L

Not to put you on the spotlight or anything, but isn't the Sonic 2 styled Sonic1 menu code from ASMToSegaGenesis? I check that place every so often, reading the tutorials of apparent "stolen code" and such, and have seen the exact same thing there.

Really liking how this is coming along. If only I could code that well. xD

I guess I'll show this here:

Nothing really impressive, so just move along. :p

Nothing much special, a little bit of progress on my S3K Hack, now a simple editing MGZ1 boss.
    C&C are welcome!

I'm going to be frank here... It seems to suffer the same problem as your other boss edits in that although it's technically impressive, it's still just the same boss with a lot more hit points (and faster, of course). I mean, it took almost 3 minutes to take down the Marble Garden Zone mini boss and, in general, it just seems too repetitive and long.

Overall, it doesn't seem fun to me which is disappointing. Still, if you enjoy playing it then carry on and ignore me. It's just my opinion after all.

I'll just mirror what I said to you about it on IRC. I love the idea, I love the execution, I think it offers a great, fair challenge boost without radically modifying the original boss, but I also think it takes WAY too many hits. Just bring it down to something more reasonable and you'll have something great.

I'll just quote what I said at Sonic Games Dimension:

EDIT: Also, why on Mobius did you decide to use Mystic Cave Zone's music for MGZ1?

Here's some art I did for my current 16-Bit S1 hack "Bakasonic" of a now untitled level:

And here's some early beta gameplay footage of my 8-Bit S2 hack "Project Reiko"; I'm sure you have seen the art I did for this earlier in this thread; This level is titled Toxic Waste Plant:

Notice some sprites aren't where they're supposed to be and there are certain graphical glitches, I'm still trying to find out how to fix this issue, so please, any help would be appreciated.

I apologize if my playing seems a bit rusty in this video, this is due to lag while recording.
