OK, I've manged to scrape together something that resembled the old forum skin. It's currently far from being 100% complete, mainly because I'm no skin expert, and I'm not too hot in Photoshop. It could do with someone who knows what they're doing to give it a new coat of paint, and replace the IPB buttons and icons with something more fitting to the skin, and the site.

Anyway, I've set the WIP skin to default, but feel free to use one of the default IPB skins.

I could whip up something if you like, for the buttons. If you want, use the ones from my forums (its pretty much dead anyway) ( http://forums.psychosk8r.brettle.co.uk ) if you don't want to use those, they're just examples of what i can do. (look at new topic/add reply etc buttons)

Edit: Also, comparing the skin to an old HTML, it is very similar, just the header is slightly smaller in height

Quite nice re-creation, I must say. Is there any specific style for the icon you want? Because if it's just to keep with the color scheme, it wouldn't be that hard to re-model the icon's to the skin's style.

I could try and make a skin, but I don't know what the old skin looked like. Looks pretty good though

Only thing I have a problem with is the stars in the background, put it back to the Sonic 2 DEZ background, it was more "old-school".

Supply me with a Plane B bitmap of it and I'll see what I can do.

I find it strange that you should say "put it back" when it was never that background to begin with. That said, it still looks pretty good as it is now. I might work on creating some new buttons soon.

Okay, I might have been wrong on where the stars were from, now that I think about it, it could have been Starlight Zone, but it looks fine either way.

what about something like http://rubbish.hapisan.com/sgmc_background.png? It's only 20kb, so it'll load quickly, and if background position is set to dead-centre, it'll look the same on all resolutions, relatively speaking. It's DEZ Sonic 2 with a slight gradient on the planet.
