Here's that rushed DX version of the original

and here's the list of all the things you can do:

Level Select is the Konami code: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B, Hold A and Press Start, obviously done on the title screen.

There are demo levels for extended edition, Pipes of Green and Mount Fade (Although Pipes of Green is just a Munchy runner ala Mario world hacks).

There are 3 other playstyles, more details in the entry's description.

With the exception of Valley ruins and the Extended edition demo levels, there is a DX act for every stage, change it to Act $03 (Act 4) to play them.

There's about 65+ music entries in the Sound test, most repeated (the original Pantufa OST to compare), "shitposts" or unished tracks and stuff from the past.

    Known Bugs and other issues:

    This doesn't work on Hardware!
    - It does, but some models don't work due to the inclusion of the debug register, sorry!

I got stuck on the layout around ... - Complain to me from 6 years ago, layout was NOT the focus as this is just a shitty Sonic after the sequel DX joke hack

Why did the sound go borked and my health messed up? - You're playing a Japanese region genesis/emulator, it's a leftover from the score 1ups from Rev01, it doesn't happen after awhile so feel free to explore any regional differences I added.

Why is the water all messed up? it wasn't like that when I came in- You paused, that upsets the oceans.

This is garbage, I'm gonna go play this other hack instead - please do that, It's not worth anyone's time

I have no idea if it's supposed to be stuck checking for hardware or not, but that bangin' remix made it worth my time eitherway.

Can the Retro Channel be a ROM hacking standard? I feel a lot of hacks would benefit from it.

This update made this hack a 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x times better than it ever was. I love this update so much that I'm just turned on by it thinking about it~

There are alot of serious and good updates on April Fools, jeez.

Might as well have a tradition for this holiday of really bad pranks.

A lot of people on Retro seemed to be missing an inside reference found deep inside the code of this hack, made towards a prior project that was shown off in the General Screenshot/Movie Thread on SSRG sometime in either 2016 or last year, I'm sure many of us found this Easter Egg during Launch Day: There are technically two ROMs in the April Fools build, replace the first half of the file in a Hex Editor with the second and you'll get the true experience of what this hack could deliver.... (information on the "true experience" redacted for those that have still yet to find it)

That sounds neat, only problem I’ve got is that the game doesn’t do anything after the “Establishing Connection to Server...”. Sonic’s just waiting there, doing absolutely nothing.
Did I miss something with the retro channel? I’m using the special version of Gens.

I see what's going on here.
Also, you can just take the second ROM, and make it a new file.
    (Starts at 0x1C052.)
I guess you could say it's more fun than Sonic MANIA.

Can anyone leak the contents? I'm a bit inept with hex editing and the such.
