Name: ManiaSaveEdit Build: Test OS: Windows 7+, written in C# therefore requires .NET Framework 4.5+ installed Author: nikitpad Description: My first contribution. Due to the release of Sonic Mania on PC, I have decided to make a simple save file editor for it. You can load a save file for its contents to be opened in the editor, or make one from scratch. Screenshots: Features: Character select Zone select Life count select Score select Emerald select Gold/Silver medals select (implemented in Update 1) Score to next life select Multiple possible editable/loadable save slots
Update 2 (final build): Now has an icon Loading/saving any of the 8 data slots is now supported The ??? value is now revealed as "Score to Next Life" Screenshot: For now, the utility is fully complete, but if any bugs are reported they will be fixed.
This is really good. Does it support more 'customisable' character selections, like Knuckles & Knuckles or Knuckles & Tails? Also, it's likely just me, but I wish it were more visually decorative. It's not a requirement, but I feel it would make it a nicer and simpler program especially for those that aren't fluent in the English language. Things like character heads next to the character selection, and emeralds of each color under the selection boxes.
Is it possible to add movelist editing support (Instashield, Peel-out, etc.)? It'd be nice to have save files with those moves enabled.
The default save file can be found at: {Your Steam installation folder path}\userdata\{there usually should be one folder, choose it}\584400\remote\SaveData.bin. Make sure to make a backup copy of your original save file, just in case if something goes wrong.
