    Hellfire Saga is Sonic 3 & Knuckles hack made with great inspiration from Castlevania and Ghosts n Goblins series.

    Story:
    After many years of war against Sonic, Eggman felt in despair. No matter which plan or mechanism he creates - he always lost battles. He began to believe that the reason of his failures was that God had turned away from him, so he prayed to the devil and wished Sonic's death.
    Eggman could not imagine that his call would be heard. Sonic's realm merged with Demons realm into nightmarish realm with legions of hungry for blood demons.
    Help Sonic to escape from hell back to his home world!

    This hack contains:
    -7 acts of chaos and bloodshed!
    -HP system instead of rings.
    -Lots of new badniks and bosses (most of them are demons made of blood and flesh)
    -Cutscenes, dialogs, and other things extending storyline.
    -And lots more...

    These enemies from other games looks really unsuitable for Sonic, but hack is so fun and awesome. Great job, Narcologer!

    It passed year since great debut.
    It would be foolish to drop such promising project, so i teamed up with gorgeous HardLine Team to develop it more qualitatively.

    New demo of Hellfire Saga appeared on SHC19 to fry this contest properly.


    Changelog from SAGE demo:

    - All the levels are tweaked, one level was redone from scratch and one completely new level has been added!

    - New and refined music.

    - Ironed out some enemies

    - Updated bosses.

    - Sound test, difficulty options and Assist Mode!
