The "How can this be improved" Thread

I'm sorry, but I think you don't even read my posts...or any other previous posts.
1. I already told Polaristar that CaveQuest is doing the trees.
2. You said that I should replace the Motobug sprites with Scyther, but that's exactly what I'm trying to do. Replace the Motobug with a Moto-Scyther. It's just that my attempt at this was shit, so I would like to have help with that.
3. Sorry, but I think otherwise. I do think that GHZ can be turned into a forest while still being GHZ.

 

Ok guys, either this topic is used for the purpose specified very quickly, or it'll be going in the trash. So far I've seen no actual content in this topic, so let's sort it out.

 

(I knew MJ's topic wouldn't last long; I also believe this topic won't either)

Trinitronity, you came here with 3 problems (not including Pikachu as you said you've got that in hand). One being the background, another being the tiles on the foreground, and lastly the motorbug. But then you posted one screenshot with all three in there. That's hard for us to improve upon (lol, like I can do art).

You're better off separating the three, but instead of being greedy, just ask for one thing at a time (otherwise people will get the impression that you don't want to do the work). So you can either:

• Post a screenshot of the background only and a screenshot of the palette being used
• Post a 128x128 tile (oh, this is S1, right? 256x256 then but you could crop it for our sake) of the foreground; again with the palette
• Post a sprite image of the motorbug on a white/transparent background; again with the palette being used

That way, someone might be able to improve on it, rather than be stuck and the only alternative is c&c

 

(Luigi might not care if I respond explaining what this is for, he knows me) This is NOT a C&C thread. The main purpose is to take something some one has posted and improve apon it not tell them what they could do to it. So if someone posts something and you don't edit it, do not post a response, that is all.
Edit: and like RHS said, one thing at a time please.

 

Hmm...actually, I never wanted to look greedy...
I just thought that when I post a screenshot off all 3 problems, people could see what exactly is wrong and they could choose what they want to fix.
I mean, my intention never was to ask people to do all 3 at once. I would be already glad if at least one of the 3 problems are fixed.
But yeah, I can kinda see the flaws behind my idea now. I better hit up with new screenshots later that show the things seperately, so once again, people can pick and choose between the 3 problems the one problem they think they can fix the best.

So yeah, no ill intentions, just had a bad idea of showing my problems...

 

No do not post all 3 at a time, one at a time until someone else posts asking for help.

 

But what if I'm unlucky enough to post one problem that never gets fixed simply because nobody can fix it? That would mean that I would forever sit on an unfixable problem...

 

The theme of the zone sounds like: something like the space base with advanced technologies.

 

So...wait, what do you want to have improved?
