Well, seems I don't have a valid account on retro I thought I would post my hack here =P. The hack is called Sonic Revalation(previously revolution), a hack of sonic 1 i've been working on it with bits of time that I had since late 2008. And there are bugs that of course need fixing.

Things so far:

Multiple characters( All characters i said are done=P may add tails or other characters in the future)

New layouts(GHZ is only done so far)

New art( LZ,MZand GHZhave new level art now)

New Music( Custum if i can get XM3SMPS to work...)

Super forms:( Sonic 100%, Knuckles, 100%, shadows is been working on)

New titlescreen

An extra zone(Not finished yet)

Sonic 2 levelselect

Jump dash(Done 100%)

Knuckles features(Almost done, don't about this i have a probelm that i can't seem to fix)

Wall Recoil is implemented

Sonic 2 Options menu

Mini boss in gh(work in progress)

Things to look out for:

More characters in the future(tails possible, suggestions for others but i don't want too many characters in)

Cut scenes between levels( Getting there..)

Custum Bosses(GH has a slight edit)

New special stages

Moves for each character

Alternative routes in levels for different characters

Mini games, need ideas please

And more... can't think right now.

And yeah thats the screens so far.... you guys might be thinking 'nothing much to see here' but its at early stages. And i would like help if anyone would like to.

I would even form a team,namely called team revoluton. Seems i only have spare time to do this..it needs some work. Anyone good with the following?:

Music:( Need someone to help me and explain how to convert things i'm terrible)

Asm:While i'm ok at the moment for asm, i will propally need help with custum bosses and custscenes ect.

Art: Any ideas for art? Help with art or layouts?

Ideas: Just Ideas in general

Set yourself some smaller goals, I set myself too many and ended up cancelling/restarting my hacks. I read somewhere that most of the hackers has concepts, but no ability to implement them. Other hackers, has ability, but no concept at all. Sonic megamix kicked ass because the team had concept+ability.

Edit: About the palettes, what the heck is wrong with the mountains? And the shading on the clouds, needs to be fixed. Other than that, I am jealous for the super sonic animations :)

You misspelled something in the level select. It should be "Pinball" and not "Pinbal". :P

Other than that, looks nice. :)

That looks awesome! I hope you'll release a Beta in the next time. :)

I agree with Hanoch, you should make smaller goals and the Mountains are looking wired.

Oh, do you mind it when using .bmp instead of .png? .png destroys the quality.

Don't worry Hanoch, i've changed the backround and i will upload a screen of my new art when i've finished. Also look out for knux and silver screens =P.

This is looking good right now, I love that title screen you have there. But you need to fix the GHZ background, signpost, and flower palletes. And I prefer a yellow HUD, but that's your choice,

Looks great I can't wait for you to release it and For Super Sonic did you use Hanoch's guide and how did you import Super Sonic's sprites to sonic 1 I've been trying to do this with no luck. So can you tell me how to do it ethier on this forum or by PMing me if you'll do it for me ( you don't have to ) I'll send you the split in a while. I don't have it right now.

Well, i didn't use a guide, i did it my self. And i don't know if i'll have enough time to help you do it, because it was quite long for me, but i'll see what i can do. If the tutorial that Hanoch did is not useful, i may just right my version on here and see if it helps. For a quick description on the sprites? I used SonMapED for all my sprites. used a sonic 3 sprite sheet and imported the sprites one by one into the sonic.bin after the last animation.

Please dont do that. I removed my guide from here because too many hacks had super sonic in them. If I see a super sonic guide again, it will mean that it was pointless to remove my guide.

Just adding my 2 cents, are you going to add tails in future updates?

Also how are the different characters going to have different routes? I can see Knuckles but what about shadow, sonic and silver?

what is the point of adding wall recoil, adding time travel if you are going to get an extra zone and more levels. I think if you add time travel it should be for shadow with chaos control and Silver. And wail recoil really is not point why should I worry about gettomg recoiled in a game where running and rolling into things is supposed to happen. Hence why there are springs.

To be honest the wall recoil can be annoying, but i feel its a challenge where the player will have an unexpected stop which will make them more cautious in not hiting a wall if they want to keep there top speed.

And if you 'read' the list of features properly it said i may or may not use time travel.

This isn't an update.... but i would like some help if anyone can help me. It's so i run things alot quicker. Just PM or go to my account for my msn and add me if you want to help in anyway thanks! Also post here 'first' if you have something you may want to contribute to in my hack.

Looks very good. But you should redo your live counter.
