While this hack was made in nothing more than basic ASM, it shows proof of concept. One notable feature is that lampposts save rings as well as time. Others are that the order of the zones is changed, points are given for rings as soon as collected, time bonuses are increased, Sonic is faster, and bosses are easier to defeat. Download and give me your opinion.

Sure, because posting 1 single screenshot of the standard looking result screen shows us a lot.
Please post something you've added and maybe give a few more then 1.
We need to see what you have to offer so you can draw our attention to play the hack :)

Ok so I just bit the bullet and played the hack to get some info.
Looks like you have not really changed anything at all, I think maybe remove the speed cap?
But there is nothing else changed here. Try to do a little more before showing off your work.

( I admit to only playing the 1st few levels, please tell me if more was changed later in the hack )

Actually, no. I did however increase Sonic's maximum speed so he can run faster. I can be unpredictable and sometimes hard to get, but you'll get used to it.

You really have changed basically nothing.

I really feel that you should do much, much more work before showing anything off.

I really agree with the people, that hack needs much more. Also, good luck with improving it!

I would like to know how to make Sonic spin-dash if I am using the SVN HiveBrain Disassembly by porting the move from Sonic 2. Can someone show me how to do this? I would need a little instruction, some advice. Also how about homing attack or peelout? Those sound good too. I'm also accepting ideas for what you want to see in version 1.0. That's right--1.0. One dot zero. Uno punto cero. Thanks for the help!

Also, I would like to know how I can make sonic lose only a few rings at a time, or add a centisecond timer. Thanks.

Why couldn't you have put this in your previous post instead? It wasn't even one fucking hour apart. Warned.

You will most likely not get help with these, especially homing attack because its not easy to code so people don't want to give away such features when it will be mis-used in away. Or just be a "sonic 1 with homing attack". Not only that, it wouldn't be your work. My suggestion? learn the assembly language. Start by looking at the jump routine for sonic, or use Selbi's jump dash code as a start point and work your way from that. The sonic spindash, isn't there a tutorial on sonicretro?, and peelout, well again is starting to become very common, so if you want to do it yourself( I wouldn't ask someone for it), then learn the spindash code. Study it, understand how it works. Then use it as a base for the super peelout and go from there. I hope I didn't come down to hard on you, its just so you know the situation you are in for asking such a thing, and what things I'd recommend you to do instead.

Here is: http://sonicresearch...p?showtopic=972
There is a entire homing attack anyway. You can request that code by reading this: http://sonicresearch...?showtopic=2419
