I must say though, Neko has some serious balls. Trolling the community with such a possibility of the proto existing. If this is truly a hack, and not a fangame, he should come out of his closet and admit it. This is probably the best s1 hoax yet.

lol Yuji Naka even said he's not sure about that proto. I'd like to play the rom, and actually see more of it.

well this dude must have had a lot of time on his hands for this. i will say that i also agree that this looks like a fake but i must admit he did a pretty damn good job at this, the way he made this hoax looks like how it would have moved from that CIS videos of the beta(mostly the way the game scrolls i mean). too bad it's a fake though, still i wouldn't mind trying this out BS or not.

I agree, even though this is a hoax ROM, I still would like to play it though, and he must be a semi-good hacker because I thought it was true at first. Wonder what his motive was.

Oh and CrashSG32 Hope you become a member! :)

Apparently, Its not even a ROM hack… It was made in MMF or GameMaker or something similar…

Story: lols1proto. People sucking dick say it's real. People with a brain know it's fake. Naka is at first unsure if this is real, partly fooled, then comes out saying it's a fake. The end.

Seriously, what is there left to talk about? This isn't a 'good' hoax.

I bet someone here could make it a ROM hack though, doesn't seem TOO hard (But for me it probably is but still :) ), and what's this about MMF or Gamemaker, if so I lost all the little respect I had for this guy, A ROM hack would take some effort. Not so much MMF or Gamemaker, I can't use those programs to save my life but someone showed me how it works.

Seriously, what is there left to talk about? This isn't a 'good' hoax.

I agree, now that Naka has came out and said it's a fake, I really don't see any reason to talk about this anymore either.

Well, the youtube user himself admitted it was fake.

On the video itself, there's a link so you can download this "hoax" but my virus scanner is immediately deleting it and won't let me play it. So download at your own risk.

It's a false positive.

I notice that sonic can not crouch in this fan game…

You're just paranoid, it's fine on my computer.

And that fan game is now transforming into what Ordos already said a bunch of times: complete and utter bullshit. The controls and physics are horribly broken, the graphics of the still-standing Sonic look like a 12 years old kid discovered Sonik Sprite for the first time and the overall length of that level is anything but believable.

Though, as a community troller, one that wasn't even intended to be this colossal, it was pretty good. That horribly camera quality made it hard tell apart the actual reused content from the early screenshots and the faked stuff. So as I already said, cheers to that guy for making something this... uhm... "great".

I'm not paranoid, it literally will not let me play it. As soon as I download it, it deletes it immediately =P

Not that I'm complaining...

Then you must have a shit antivirus. Anyway, this is pretty cool, even if it is a fake. Nicely done on redoing the art though, that's all I'll give him.

Avast. Way better.

I second this as well, it works wonders. besides to me IMO McAfee sucks and it made my laptop run slow as fuck and kept on saying there were viruses detected which of course were false majority of the time.
