Ok, I use the slots of sounds ranging from E5-FF, but still the songs are not enough for my hack. I wonder if it is possible to create new slots from 00-1F? Thanks :cow:

Try to be a bit less vague in your topic titles, you'll find people are more willing to help you if you create a better summary of the problem.

Well, first Qjimbo has a point, try to be as specific as possible as you can in your titles. For example maybe title this, "Need help with extra Sounds." Also, you may want to tell us if this is for Sonic 1/2/3K.

As for helping you out, have you considered the Sonic 3 Sound Driver? It's a little difficult to understand how music and sound works, but once you get its format it's much easier. Also, you may have to port some sound effects from sonic 1, but it's an idea. Hope that helps. :cow:

EDIT: I just realized that you were the one who posted that tutorial. Why are you not using it?

Its unneeded to use the sonic 3 sound driver. Sonic 1 Remastered has music in slots 00-FF and he doesn't have the sonic 3 sound driver. Same as megamix. To add more music/sound effects slots just copy the routine that handles the music in the 81-9F bank and change the numbers.

Um, last time I played with the Sonic 3 Sound Driver it wasn't playing any of my S3-converted music.

I don't think it's that easy. I think there is more to it.

I never played with it for Sonic 1. It works for sonic 2 though.

Did you use a tool to port music? Because I did mine manually, and they came out Ok. Emerald Hill Zone's music sounded strange.

Did you remember to swap second and third bytes in all the voices?

i think I swapped some but not all. But it had a strange Echo sound, like the timing was off a bit. I also took out the Modulation coordinate flag as a test the timing was fixed, but it didn't sound right at all. (At least I think it was, it's been a while.)
