Hello guys... Done a few ASM tweaks and bugfixes today and a lot of art porting.

    Heres a couple of screenies

    Sonic 3 Style Titlecards:

    Sonic CD Badniks:

I have also ported the Sonic 3 AIZ Bridge and Rock, fixed the level select zone names and added code for another splash screen.

It's not exactly "ported", you got it from the SCAA, I can recognise the art easily.

Basically this. At least now I know who's responsible for the generic bits of the hack now...

I didnt think that was still around... these are bits of art I hav had in a folder on my pc for a long while hmmm must have come from there then so I stand corrected not ported so much as finally put in then lol. Generic? I spose you could say that... The bits I have worked on are mostly from the various guides with a little bit of experimentation here and there - as for the rest yep not my doing I totaly suck at layouts lol.

    More Updates

I thought I will give you some updates of how some of the zones are looking

    Palmtree Hill

I think the originality looks better in my opinion, the art is not changing anymore, I have also added some new flowers as well.

    Status: 100% finished.

    Radiant Plaza

This zone has become very Radiant indeed. Even the Badniks have got a glow to them.

    Status: 50% done.

    Chromium Base

I thought I would show the boss fight for this zone. There is now only two see saws and a bottomless

pit to deal with, as Sonic demonstrates for us.

    Status: 100% finished.

    Angelic Maze

What can I say? The zone looks beautiful and very visually interesting.

    Status: 100% finished.

    Runaway Train

Currently not yet implemented. However It is starting to come together.

    Status: 5% done.

    Sandopolis

A WIP. The background is done, but the foreground has only just been started.

If somebody can help out, I will add the waving effect too.

    Status: 10% done.

    So there we go.

maybe its because originality is hard to pull off nowadays in sonic hacks, but the angelic maze stage is very close to the similar stage in megamix. it contains tons of similarities, even the name is similar.

That's not necessarily a bad thing but I'm just pointing it out

^^^ That doesn't really matter, level names are going to be similar in hacks. Its over 200 hacks and I don't see the problem if the name sounds fimilar with megamix.

I personally like the level and hope you continue to improve.

For the wave effect, go to the link below.

    http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?sho...=11077&st=0

Now it explains how to add this effect to sonic 2, but I don't think it would be too difficult to add a similar set up in Sonic 1. IIRC, just make sure to delete the checks to see if sonic is above or below the water and it should set up a ripple effect for the foreground and background. Hope that helps.
