Let me show my sonic 4 hack (the realy early beta) and the sonic 4 hack (the other beta) and the first beta of my current hack (though its unplayable ;P).

Ok instructions:


Sonic special edition (last beta) has amy tails and knuckles and sonic. To play as tails, click A to play as knuckles, B to play as amy (only a few sprites) C. Tails has flying, knux has fucked up gliding and sonic and amy has jumpdash and peelout. Removed since it has art from my current hack.

 

Have an old version of S2E. It's a bit buggy and incomplete, but you can play it to complain at me for not fixing Knuckles' bugs and you can check out my amazing WFZ boss edit.

Sonic 2 Release Candidate - An old hack of the Sonic 2 Wai prototype I made back in 2004. The goal was to make it seem more similar to the final version of the game in any way that I could manage. Admittedly, I never got that far; I did manage to get the Sonic 2 Final sound driver in there, though!


Sonic 2 Megamix (ASM Ver) - An in-progress conversion of Sonic 2 Megamix to an ASM-based format. I worked on it for like... I don't know, a week, and never touched it again. It's probably over a year old or so by now. I pretty much gave it up and donated most of the work I did to Thorn for Sonic 2 Retro Remix.


I'd post the first hack I ever made, but I don't seem to have a copy of it anymore.

 

Is level select avaible? =P

 

I have 2 old hacks:


1: Sonic 1: Hardcore Terror -> A never finished Sonic 1 Hack with new level layouts (GHZ and FZ), palettes, Spindash and small ASM fixes. It was created for 80% with ESEII and actually makes Eyes bleeding: It's the ugliest hack ever (at least for me). It's over 1 year old.

2: Sonic 2: Team Black Force -> A Sonic 2 Pallette hack. Sonic and Tails are Black and this is actually everything. The levels have new pallettes as well, but they are not that nice... The hack has a few physical modifications (like jumping higher and more hits for Bosses) and has a new Death Egg Zone.

I have so many little hacks I've made on my own, but here's the first on I've ever made (made last April/May I believe) and I used hex and ESE. Here you go

 

Haha! This hack is very fun just for that it has worse palettes =P Now I know, why you make bosses. This hack explains anything.

My very first attempt at hacking.


I had to find it on the web archive of Sonicology. It uses Mask of Destiny's gliding code.

 

This is the worst Knuckles port, I've ever seen! xD But it was created in 2003, so respect dude.

 

I don't know why I'm posting this.

I personally don't have any old hacks. I never hacked before oergomized...


If you want to see how bad this hack was at the beginning (Dec 07) though, feel free.


Isn't there, like, anything older than that? Or weren't there many Sonic hacks in 2001-2003?
