This graphic design is really the most impressive I've ever seen in Sonic hacks!


It is difficult to comment on. I am completely in love about what I saw.

 

I'm thinking the easiest way to achieve that would probably be palette cycling.

To begin with, that was broken for as long as I can remember, and I never fixed it.


Then I moved to Sonic 2. Good stuff.

 

I've seen this in a few hacks in the past. I wonder what does this?

 

Looks like it's a VRAM issue or the art got overwritten by mistake.

 

The usual stuff, new art, code or whatever added and the shit is pointing to the wrong mappings/art. That's at least what I think.

I guess it's time to make a public announcement, then...


Sonic Thrash will obtain it's second public release tommorow. This is because of my birthday being tommorow and I'll give a little present from me to you.


But, to keep you teased, I took the liberty to torture myself into making a new layout for Emerald Hill Zone 1.


Positive comments would be appreciated, as always.

 

Nice spritework! I also enjoyed the level designs in the previous Sonic Thrash so I look forward to seeing what you come up with in this release.
