And I'm waiting to temp ban him if he does. I'm sick of this shit. Asking how to do every fucking thing whilst having no fucking clue about how the engine works. Just wanting everyone fucking else to do the work for him. I've no qualms with people asking for technical assistance on debuging a piece of code they've worked on, or the odd question every now and again, but for this shit takes the proverbial fucking biscuit. And the same goes for everyone else who thinks all they have to do is ask a question for every fucking thing they do. It's time you all jumped into the deep end and see if you sink or swim.

    ok ok calm down!

    And

I supossed that the SFX format is similar to the music format (?). if equal, does not import, because mi ports are now perfect (except for Knuckles' Chaotix ports because is very unstable=P)

Sadly, these questions being all over the forum is the reason I lurked here for so long. Nothing was getting done except for either easily accessible information or difficult stuff people didn't want to program themselves being spoonfed to people asking questions. But yeah I agree this is getting really bad.

And Hcktrox you have the right idea with the format, you just can't use any tools like Esrael's sound porter or Music Pointer fixer because of the way sound effects work. Look into sonic 1 and sonic 3 sound effects and how they're set up (in hex) so you don't ask us any more questions.

That being said, would anyone have a problem with me asking something...undocumented and not very common about the Sonic 1 32x disassembly?

Okay at this point I dunno but there should be a point somewhere telling people to go to either the Sonic Retro wiki or the SSRG main page, preferably both, and check there. It'd really help with situations like this.

Also Chaotix format is S3K format. The only issue you could have is with the PWM channels, but sound effects don't even use them.

The reason I don't link is because I don't know them.

I could give you the reply, so yes.

The proccedure for convert sound effects from Sonic 3 is just THE SAME used for convert music. But the format is slightly different. In the header you have the:

Voice Pointer - Number of voices (usually 0101 or 0102) - A master channel definition (that will be used for define what channel from the sound effect will be used for play that sound (if FM) - the pitch/volume modifier - so, the sound data itself.

Hcktrox, next time before post a question, check out guides. Go study the format before, go ask people. Don't post a question in the Q&A for EVERY bit edition you need help... Because is really SADLY give explanations about things that lots of people know. I think this was what Ordos mean with that he said. Man, simply check out the guides before post questions!!

Thanks to Tweaker for the notes about the sound effects format. This was (and yet it is) very useful for me. I hope this to help. Bye!
