Basic Art Edit to EHZ act 2: By Bakayote, Finally the day to night idea works, but it only happens in EHZ.

Edit: It would be boring to have this happen in every zone.

I do like the palette. The background looks nice too.

It's amazing what a basic art edit can do doesn't it lol If he works harder he could do more than that, he is actually artistic, I'm not.

Edit: separating act art is the best decision I ever made for my hack.

So as things are slowly getting better progress wise for my hack, (I've cut half the bugs I had) I believe I may have mentioned for my hack page on the contest this year that I was going for 4 levels in total.(GHZ, LZ, and 2 etxra levels which I never properly mentioned) One of the level I shew a pic to know what to expect, now the other level I don't believe I ever mentioned. With this being the case and because well it is supposed be like "Sonic CD" afterall this level which most of you will know will make a return.

An in game shot. The only thing to do is finish a few bits on the collision and then recontrsuct a decent layout, thankfully loops work an all. Now here's the thing, it will most likely only be the future as of how I've planned it. But depending on how I feel about how much work I want to put in to this way overdue hack, I may or may not add a full zone with the present, past and future. Just felt like giving you an insite to how things are going. Of course I wil not reveal how you get to Stardust Speedway though.

Please ignore the bad art; I got too lazy to move things about properly right now.

@Cinossu: Holly Mother of God! forget about the art, this shit is fuckin huge! anywho, not bad of a concept to create a giant loop. reminds me of sonic advance 2 and sonic rush. wonder what else you have up your sleeve.

@Selbi: oh god more explosions up the ass, except this time it's bigger. curious to see how this looks in action.

@AnimeMaster: did you happen to change the background a bit by any chance? it looks a bit smaller to me. that and will there be search lights in the BG like in the original?  (or is it the FG?)

Well its the future BG I haven't alterterd it. I think the search lights are only in the present of Stardust Speedway not the future.

Have any of you guys seen those pretty visualisations that come with media players? You know the ones, they fluxuate and change with a nice blend of colours, depending on the music.

I was inspired by Windows Media Player's "Battery" effects, and made this for my Mega Drive game (for the sound test). It's far from complete mind and I may change the logo, but the basic concept is there and in working order.

@MarkeyJester: Holy shit MarkeyJester, that is amazing! Any chance of a demo any time soon?

Well, I don't really have anything to show, so...

So much for the "I don't want YouTube". :p

Nah, I don't want to be a dick. This is amazing! I'm wondering how it's even possible to emulate such a clean color gradient and fade out on a Mega Drive, but you've always been the kind of guy knowing how to screw the rules.

That was amazing! I love it! I never knew the Mega Drive could be so powerful.

    Nice job. *applause*

Yes, far from complete. In fact, I've gone and updated it recently.

It has more effects, and this time it actually responds to the music playing (unlike the previous version). Unfortunately, YouTube has screwed up the visual effect at around 0:33 during the conversion, probably because the frame change is too sudden:

Thanks for the support guys. If you have any ideas for more effects, then I may have a go. Keep in mind that I'd prefer them to have a sort of fady effect like the ones in the video currently have. Just to keep it consistent, if you catch my meaning.
