Nothing to big, but a little something I put together should I ever have the need to use it (or for anyone else that may want to use this for something music related)

Your level art never stops impressing me. Whether it's bits and pieces mashed together from different sources, or completely original material, you have a really good talent for making everything look in place and just aesthetically pleasing in general. The background could be a bit more busy, but regardless, what is there is very nice.

I think that's actually pretty cool. You could put the words "Sound Test" at the top and track names/numbers in the center to make a really good sound test screen.

Some minor glitching I noticed (are those panels at 1:01 supposed to have numbers on them? If not, they should).

Also, is it a hack of Sonic 1, 2 or 3&K? I ask because it seems to have stuff from all three, though some elements are clearly from Sonic CD.

Haha, its a hack of Sonic 2, and I have yet to port the FG animations and code, that's why those numbers are there, ill have to break into SCD and get them. My plan was to confuse people, on what it was a hack of.. it worked. lol

Just a little thing that I worked last 2 days :>. There are cheats like in S2, you can change the level select style (press "GO TO S2 LEVEL SELECT" to load S2 level select. The same is in the S2 LevSel, so you can change between 2 different LevSel styles), etc. Some levels are blocked (that aren't playable by normal in my hack at the moment), but is possible to unlock using one of 3 LevSel cheats.

    Credits:

me - most of changed stuff

    nineko - song based cheats

    Kram1024 - modifications from Simon Wai's S2 beta

Gardeguey - custom background in S1 levsel.

(and ValleyBell - SMPS Converter for some songs)
    ----

Also, a very different thing, what do you think about this palette (SYZ2)?

    Comments & sugestions are welcome.

I think that's actually pretty cool. You could put the words "Sound Test" at the top and track names/numbers in the center to make a really good sound test screen. You know that's actually not a bad idea. Maybe I can edit the sound test code a bit a make a jukebox of my own or something.

@Joe: not bad so far, of course you said that you would try to port over the deformation and animation code over so I understand why some parts were glitchy looking.

@Hezon: liking the FG there. With that little bit of editing, it feels new to me and that's a good thing.

@Paintomaniak: Too much more of the same with the palette. Like you just simply tweaked the colors slightly. Is it part of a time-of-day progression between the acts, with SYZ1 being night and SYZ2 being early pre-dawn morning?

I'm loving the level select background, that's certainly unique!

The colours for your SYZ look alright too, though it would be nice to see some unique art d=

@Hezon: That's good, but be careful with the art, you might want to avoid "pillow shading". (here if you don't know what it is: http://opengameart.org/content/chapter-4-shadow-and-light).

@Joenick: It will probably look great once animated and with cycling palettes. I'm just not a big fan of those spikes under the asteron.

@Hezon: It's good to see a palette that doesn't rape the eyes, but I hope some art edits are coming with it.

    Cool art! :)

Even the background needs to be done.

I have a strange day but I had nothing to Do, absolutely.

And AGAIN, I decided to change the GHZ boss.

Ps, as the boss I don't need, I will give in good hands. =D

Yes, this is my another hack. =P

@hezon: That's is really good, but I think it would look better with a song with terror theme. :p
