     Hello everyone.

    This is a little side project of mine that's purely proof-of-concept right now, but could become something a lot bigger in the future.

    In a nutshell, this is a port of GHZ to Sonic CD 2011, though it has many flaws due to being in early stages and the lack of research on the game. These flaws include:

    • The grass being extremely flashy! ~ This is due to a part of Palmtree Panic's scripting which has yet to be located. It's being worked on.
    • The background being an empty void! ~ This is because I haven't looked into how the backgrounds work yet. A background should be available sometime in the future, however.
    • There's no badniks! ~ Since there isn't really a way to port objects yet, I just removed them and moved on.
    • Something's up with the time-zones! ~ This is my fault, actually, because I accidentally made Act 1 Present a past zone and, well, it screwed things up a bit. For optimal play, I suggest trying the zone out in Time Attack mode.
    • Act 3 is missing! ~ This is partially because of the fact that I'm tired of porting the layouts chunk by chunk and because, once again, there's no real way to port the boss or anything yet.
    • The flowers aren't animated! ~ I'm not entirely sure how animated tiles work in this engine, so they'll be static for now.
    So, as you can see, it's a pretty bare-bones port, but once again, more should come of this in the future. I threw in Act 2 as a bonus, though it's incomplete at the moment and is unbeatable. I also changed the jump sound to Sonic 1's jump sound because... well, why not? Hopefully this will help encourage people to check out Sonic CD 2011 in terms of modding, as it's really quite fun.
    Without any further rambling, here's the download:

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/d8it381455e3da3/Data.rsdk

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

    • Go to C:program Files(x86)SteamSteamAppscommonSonicCD
    • Make a copy of the existing Data.rsdk inside this folder and rename it to something like 'DataOLD.rsdk'.
    • Take the new Data.rsdk from the download and place it into the same folder, replacing the original.
    • Boot up Sonic CD through Steam and enjoy!
    ~~~~~~~~~~A special thanks goes out to nextvolume, who created the TaxED and Retrun tools, as well as working with me to fix some stuff! Go check out his website!
    P.S. Since I know someone will ask, no, I'm not sure if this will work on mobile. I can't check since I don't have that version to test on. Could someone test it for me, please?
    Does this include that rip of GHZ classic I gave you earlier? I don't care if it does i'm just wondering. Also i'm messing around with this game also. I'm thinking about messing with sonic's art and see if I can make the animation longer then normal and stuff like that. Anyway good luck. I can't wait to play this :D
    Yes, it does, but I only put it in place for the Palmtree Panic Past theme.
    Once again, thank you for that, and good luck on your modding adventures as well! :D
    Just wondering, are you planning on doing all of the other S1 zones? I would love to see Marble zone past & futures (the place already looks pretty ancient, maybe you could start the act in Past?) along with Star Light zone past and futures. Besides, I would play this (but I don't have Sonic CD on steam, only on PSN)
    Yeah, I was thinking about doing the other Sonic 1 zones (and maybe doing a full-fledged port of Sonic 1 to PC), but at the moment, I'll be sticking to Green Hill Zone.
    Also, seeing as how you don't have it, Sonic CD is on sale for $2.49 in Steam at the moment. I believe it ends in 2 days or so, so now would be a good time to grab it if you wanted. :)
