I thought I'd write out my opinions on this hack, just because I can ( )!

So, let's start with the level designs; for the most part, they are really good! I especially like what you did to SYZ, as it is challenging, yet has a way to speedrun it once you get your bearings. MZ feels a bit, well, forced. What I mean, is it doesn't feel natural for platforming. For every good section of MZ, there is a section that feels a bit off. It's kind of hard to explain. But, MZ is alright, just needs fine tuning. GHZ is pretty good, just needs a few little tweaks here and there to make it really good (feels like something off Sonic Generations, which is a good thing). And, last but not least, LZ. LZ is really good, but is held back by a few things I'll explain in the next paragraph.

So, next I'll talk about glitches. You've based this game off of Sonic 1, and subsequently your hack has bugs that stem from the original game. Notably the spike glitch and the wall jump glitch. Sometimes, when Sonic is standing against a wall and jump, Sonic will jump without curling up into a ball. This is a problem in LZ1, as you will always get hit at the last section. The spike glitch is present, and it is most noticeable on GHZ2, on the bottom path. A few things that may help the hack if fixed.

The pallets look excellent in some places, but are blinding in others. All look good, except MZ. It is too bright. Maybe that's just me, but I prefer more cinematic pallets (similar to what you did in the other stages). You'll have to get someone who has better taste in pallets, but I thought I'd just mention it, as people may be put off by MZ.

Finally, the music. The music is alright. I dislike GHZ, as I don't think it sounds right with the Genesis sound chip. Other than that, the music is just alright. It doesn't hurt your ears, but it just sounds a little off, if you know what I mean by that.

So, overall? It's coming along nicely, but could use quite a bit of touching up in places, and replacing some parts. But, just continue in what you are doing, and it should turn out pretty well! The one main thing which you have to do though, is fix the Sonic 1 glitches. Here's a tutorial for the spike glitch fix, though I can't find the wall jump one.

Thank you.   I think I will upload next built of my hack in this thread. Time for version 0.66.

    Changes:

    - Edited level layout in SYZ Act 3, LZ Act 2, SLZ Act 1 (LZ Act 3, SLZ Act 2, 3 and SBZ have got a minor level layout edits and you can't beat SBZ, because solids in tiles are unfinished and I still working on it.)

    - Tile edit in LZ, SLZ, SBZ and FZ.

Next version of my hack will be in SHC 2015.

EDIT: I forgot about SBZ, this is possible to pass this zone with unfinished solids, but it's very difficult and I think not fun for others. Stay tuned.

You're planning on releasing this for SHC 2015? Then why are you releasing a build a month or two before, and another one again today? It takes the element of surprise away.

Say, in 3 weeks all SHC downloads are open, you won't get as many because most will say, "I have tried it already" and will then miss any improvements. Then when they vote, they'll be comparing other hacks to an old version of your hack; limiting your chances.

This is just my view though, you can tell me to shut my yap if you like.

No, I think you're right.   My goal in SHC isn't winning something, because I know there are many hackers better than me. I doing this, because I want to be a part of this awesome event!
