Hello all! I forgot to post this earlier (at the start of SHC), but here is my topic on my hack: Sonic the Trollface! (It is currently the alpha, SHC2015 demo)

    Description from SHC2015:

The goal of this hack is to provide a fun twist on a tired formula. I won't give away some of the edits, but they are pretty cool. It does make it a bit difficult, but I believe in you! You can win the game! Rather than trying to speed through stages and rack up rings, instead you want to try and speedrun the tricky manoeuvres in the stages. You've seen hacks that spam enemies, and this isn't one of them. Difficulty should come in the mechanics, not by having too many dick moves in the levels.

I hope you enjoy the hack, and others from SHC2015!

    Hello all!

You may be wondering what happened to Sonic Trollface, and why I haven't updated it in a while. Well, it is because I restarted the whole project. Let me give you a little backstory:

Back when I started the hack, I was using the Hivebrain disassembly. This was because it was the one I had downloaded many a year ago. I had built up the hack quite a bit, and (after SHC2015) when I went back to it, many bugs were present, that I couldn't fix as I had corrupted files in the project (after I tried to mess with certain features). Sure, I could replace the files, but then I'd lose all the data I had. I could have restarted the whole project (using the Hivebrain disassembly) and just compared files to see what needed changing again. Instead, I have decided to port it to the newest disassembly, the Github one. Now, because of this, I needed to research the whole of the new Sonic 1 code.

Now, you may notice how they are similar. However, MZ1 is broken, all of the objects are broken, Sonic's sprite hasn't been changed and the title hasn't been changed yet. There is still a lot of work to go into it. I thought I'd update the page, as I don't want to not mention anything going on.

I'm hoping I can get a new build put out by the end of January. A lot of work has to go into the hack. However, GHZ1, 2 and 3 is all finished. It's just figuring out what's wrong with Marble Zone, fixing it all, improving level design, and all of that lovely stuff.
