    Yeah, you have to use either Darwine or VMWare Fusion in order to use windows hacking tools on mac. There aren't any equivalents.

    Sorry for double post but I have a HUGE UPDATE!!!.......I'M GOING TO RELEASE A DEMO OF MY HACK: Sonic The Hedgehog ZX


    This will be a GHZ/FIZ-Demo as I like to call it meaning that........


    The only level you can play Green Hill Zone/Forgotten Isle Zone Act 1,2,and 3.........because after that the game goes back to the title screen.......


    Also don't ask me for the level select code because I ain't going to give it to you......hehehehehe.......:eek:


    Also there is no Debug Monitor.....it's only for beta testers.......


    I know that this is a small demo but it might take a while for you to beat (hint: Act-3).....even though it's one level/zone......

    Well act 1 and 2 is way to easy, I think beat act 2 in 25-28 seconds. Act 3 was a bit troublesome but was able to beat it and I quit after that. That was a pretty faur try for the 1sr level and I would comment later after the second level.

    I seriously like this hack. But Act 3 was not really that hard. Except the boss is hard.


    But the only one thing which was annoying is the spike bug. :eek:


    EDIT: Also you should put a spring next to the signpost in Act 2. Or else if you don't finish the tube, you'll get stuck.

    The layouts are fine, as I said in youtube, FIZ act 3 is harder then all of the levels in sonic 1 harder levels *shot* I think you should make sonic roll when touching the reversed rolling tubes, but DONT ask how to do that BEFORE you try.


    The peelout is weird, you replaced the running animation with super-running only so angles will look ok? Not good. Add the peelout sprites after the spindashing sprites, then add the angles after the peelouting sprites and everything will look fine.


    The palettes are cool, in the end of act 3 try adding a palette change to the act 1 palette at the same time the music starts (ghz music) and it will flow better.


    The ghz unused tiles used as windows is really cool looking :)


    The important thing, the music. The bridge zone port sounds not good. The DAC is only kicks and no snares, and the notation sounds kinda weird, also it doesn't loop correctly. The act 2 port is ok and i didn't really like the act 3 port. The end of act and port is good, the invincibility's notation is cut off at the end and there's only DAC. I cant tell about the boss port because I didn't really listen to it I was busy kicking robotnik's ass :eek:.


    And the bugs! Spike bug - I dont really care, if you decided to keep it, keep it.


    Wall recoil is annoying (not as s2beta's) but again, keep it if you like too.


    Final rating: 3/5 sorry, its the peelout and the ,music.

    The layout isn't too bad, but WHAT IS WITH THE MUSIC. The first zone's music is only using one voice, seriously. It's horrible, not to mention the looping is fucked. Level select code please. I'm not going to play act 1 with that horrible music.

    I agree with Irixion here, the music is crappy and buggy. The tempo is too fast and there are voice and looping problems too.


    I also got stuck at the end of Act 2 of the FIZ (GHZ) as you can't get up the 'reversed' tube section.


    Layouts, palletes and artwork are not a problem but its just those bugs above.

    I made a code to enable or disable the Spike Behavior in the Title Screen. (Not in this version)!

    It's UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT.

    Yes, SonicVaan is right there is a reason why it's called a GHZ/FIZ Demo because I don't want people playing other zones besides that one.......


    So please don't give out the code........But!


    The funny thing is that....THATS NOT THE CODE.....HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!.....I changed it!!!....I knew someone was going to tell the code so i changed it :eek:


    But pls Selbi, Don't do it again.....


    Oh, and Irixion if you hate the game that much that you don't even want to finish the first level then don't play it.....simple as that......


    Thanks for the comments I hoped for better ones....but this is good too because now I know what to make better......


    P.S.: As for the music, Give me a break I'm new to this stuff.....I promise I'll improve.....Just Watch Me!!!lol!!!!

    Music is important to me. If it's horrid and sounds like shit then I don't know why you would release this. Layout looked fine, but the music is just....erugh :eek:. If you need help then ask others who can do it for you, but =P.


    Edit: you could just disable the zones you don't want others going to in the level select. Do you mind reuploading it aswell?

    I have a solution to your problem!, How about you just beat the level with no sound... Does that sound your problem?:)


    Also, I will try better in making music... But it's still kinda new to me...

    Wow, beat the level with no sound? If I play any sonic game I want to hear the sound so I can find some cool sounds.
