    Yes I am referring to Sonic 1 Special Stages, I have read the how to guides for the disassembly tool but I don't understand how to use them, I've also tried to use it myself but I got no results. How do you Disassemble/Assemble the game?

    Figured out how to Disassemble the game but I don't know how the edit it could I have some help?

    S1 Special Stages... I'm currently 3/4 done with a new editor for those... PM me and I can help you out with that.

    some of the disassemblies at the retro come already disassembled, when you start to edit though, start with editing the sega sound. tutorial is found at the retro. everytime you make changes, the sound becomes more & more corrupt till lockup. best to start there in case you haven't.

    So... I saw your thread on porting Tails tails... I myself had already ported it directly from Sonic 3K... BUT I am still stuck on one thing... The tails are not working properly in the Special Stage. I looked into how it is handled in the S3K equivalent (Slot Machine Stage) and I can't find too many differences between my code and that one... I'm stumped.

    Basically the problem is that the angle of the tails seems incorrect when in the air, and when rolling on blocks, the tails are gone altogether... 
    Did any of you encounter a problem with this, and would you be able to assist me with fixing this?

    Just be sure to fix the sega sound first.

    Did you port the extra BG scrolling? Then you also should copy the BG layout, the layout of the background is different between rev00 and rev01 (or whatever the rev numbers are) ;)

    Hey, uh, this question has probably been asked before but looking through 20 random pages, I can't find the answer.

    What is the Chaos Emerald system underneath your user rank, what does it do and how do you change it? I think it has something to do with posts, but I'm not sure...

    I want to restore Wood Zone to sonic 2 final using asm but I do not have the bin files I need to do it and the link in the sonic retro forum topic no longer works.

    Does anyone els have these files?

    HiddenPalace, are you referring to the broken links from this particular old topic in Sonic Retro? If so, then good thing I backed this up long ago.

    I have ported sonic 2's Sonic to sonic 1. I have my own super sonic code, which at the moment if i even try to add more to it to have Super Richter too kills the game upon jumping, even with Sonic. Not what i'm asking about.



    When Super Sonic dies and level restarts with (Super_Sonic_Flag).w set to #1, Black Pallet, but cleared (set at 0) All is normal. I know to fix this one way is to add clr.b (Super_Sonic_Flag).w

    this also triggers if after i clear a level, the "Sonic Has Passed"  comes up and Sonic is Super, it happens here too.

    Is there one specific routine i'd have to change to fix it completely in case this is triggered at another point, or should i just go ahead & add clr.b (Super_Sonic_Flag).w to each routines?
