Very, very good there, extremely wonderful attention to detail, and without dithering, that is something that takes experience, and you have just that sir! I would complain about certain clashing with the indoor background sections and the flooring/ceiling/foreground, but you expressed that you're still working on that, additionally, I'm terrible for clashing myself so I have no place to complain about that, hence, I'll let you off.

Keep going at it, I find it to be extremely professional and something that I wish I could live up to, it's also exciting to see proper brand new artwork, it doesn't happen very often...

The what doing what with what?

I never said it was meant to look good, it's a disgustingly boring place where everything is formatted, generic and showy.

Wow! That is very impressive! By the way, is that a miniboss or the main boss?

I personally feel a cooler set of colors works best for that image. However, if you'd like some hint of "red" in there, have you considered doing something a bit in-between?

    Left - Original ; Right - Altered

I went out of my way to see how "blue-violet" might work on the image. Also, that yellow for the background art is too saturated to look natural there. In the distance, background objects tend to lose their saturation a bit, so I went ahead and desaturated it a bit to see how it will look. This is just a small sample of what I'd do to the image itself, but it's ultimately up to you, of course.

I can't decide between the three. Maybe each one for a different act?

I personally changed the color because when thinking about it, I thought  people would moan that it was simular to Megamix's Starry Night. Maybe I'll play around a bit, I don't normally like pink, but i'm kinda liking it here but I may show you guys the other palette I did.

    Edit: Here you are.

I obviously didn't spend as much time as I did last time. But now I've seen this color I don't want to go back the blue color, I personally think its overused.

The pallete and the gradient needs some work. I will get my hands on it soonish and show you  it. second attempt is much nicer tho. it still needs a slight refinement

You don't need to do that honestly, I prefer to do it myself, I just learn by experience. I'm not the best artist but thats not gonna stop me from trying my best!.

You wouldn't per chance have the version 1.2 of Tribeam's palette editor at hand, and would be willing to send it my way? Been looking for that for ages.

I was finally able to retrieve my old hack back in 2009. The only update I've made was the custom dice art. I seriously got to stop using recycled art...
