Music with fucked up FM and PSG voices. More annoying than funny, to be honest.

    To Mega:

Hm, interesting. But it really similar to Sonic 1: Reversed Frequencies. Overall, I do agree (sorta) with TheRoboticOverload, the music is funny. :)

    EDIT: Oops, my bad.

Hey look! The sequel to The Emperor's New Hedgehog! This has already been done before. If the joke is that it's labelled as Sonic 2 and it's a ROM of Sonic 1 then it's probably not the best April Fools joke I've ever seen. At least you got me to download a ROM of a game I've played millions of times and own on both the Genesis and the iPhone.

I don't see anything that's been changed unless you count a few enemies added and a few rocks placed. Although I only played less than a minute in because I didn't see anything new.

    Edit: I can grammar.

Then why did you release it 0.o I know everyone's gotta start somewhere, but why release something with no substantial changes? The least you could have done was shuffled the enemies around, at least that would have been somewhat new (and just as easy to make).

If I had to be honest, the one positive aspect behind this is the placement of the objects in relation to the level's graphical design.  That is to say, where the rocks have been put, the grass design at the bottom of that sprite actually matches up to the grass on the level floor.  Most people forget or are just plain ignorant with that, but you've paid attention to that, nice work!

One negative aspect, is to do with flow, I keep running into these rocks, or the new enemies because I could not see them when they were coming into the screen, and was forced to a slight halt.  I would however argue that the reason might be because it's the same layout, is it even possible to improve a well known layout?  I'm not sure, though I am almost certain that if you made a brand new layout, 100% from beginning to end, it may be easier to avoid the break of flow.

Regardless, nice first attempt!  And good luck.

Although I hack Pokemon Fire Red I decided to have a go at using sonLVL to see what sort of things that members of the Sonic hacking community need to go through when making even basic changes to a stage, but it turned out to be an abismal attempt; however, as a birthday present for joshwoakesm (05/05), I had a second shot of "re-creating" Green Hill zone act 1, and below is the resulting outcome of said attempt.

Needless to say, a massive kudos to all whom created, or contributed to, the plethora of content available out there; you have my respect, and remind me why I'm much more comfortable with beta-testing/playing Sonic hacks.  Keep it up, folks ;)

It's a pretty good remake of Green Hill Zone act 1. It flows nicely, I don't run into enemies randomly I could not see, and there are plenty of spanning paths! The only bad thing to say is that it feels "empty" in a few places, but that might be a good thing here given the nice flow!

    Well done there!~~

I think it's time to show everyone on the hack sonic 1: Sonic 1: back in time.

This hack stage demos so not too many features, but it is something to see

    This hack changed:

    - Fully GHZ

    - Act 3 converted into a boss

    - Changed behavior of the boss

    - Changed palette GHZ (She is very particular IP, but will soon be converted and all thetitles will be with a sense)

    - To write new music (Thank you so much for this wonderful JK.Fox music)

    - Small changes in the design and code.

Well, now is the time screenshots

I haven't even played the game yet and I can already see clashing palettes.
