@SuperButt - a dieselpunk (which, for those that don't know, is an alternate-history version of a pre-WWII era with an art deco style, and some examples include Bioshock 1 and 2, as well as Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and possibly Crimson Skies) Sonic hack would be badass, as would a steampunk hack. And a cyberpunk hack, though it'd basically be more akin to an entirely "Bad Future" aesthetic.

@JoenickSRB - totally wanna see more.

 

Actually "Azure lake" was my inspiration for this background.

Well, I have worked on some stuff here and I thought I could show here, I don't know if you guys would like it but it doesn't hurt to try, eh?

Nicely done! Looks rather clean and professional, I like it.

What I really like is that Sonic & Knuckles background you have there in the options menu, it's a nice touch!

 

Maybe a few more clouds, but don't go overboard. Also, why does the image have a JPEG quality to it, but it's a PNG? :

Wow, man. Looking smooth. My only concern at the moment is the Special Stage sprite, as it looks to me just like Sonic got a spike cut off, and some new shoes. Still though, nice and clean.

Wowzers! At first, I thought is was a hack of Sonic 2, and then I realized you had ported the Sonic 2 stuff to S3K! Very nice!

 

I'm sorry, I'll fix that in the next post.

 

Thebox your background is looking good, I don't know if my internet ruined the picture but the image quality don't seem that good.

Drakon, your hack looks very interesting with Metal Sonic in it, it's graphics looks smooth and nicely drawn. I would love to see it completed!

As for me, I did something in October but decided to upload it last week, it's rather unfinished but so far I got these as results. Click Here and I hope you guys enjoy it.

 

It's not your internet, he just fails at taking screenshots despite several attempts to explain him how to do so. I gave up on that matter, also because the last time I tried to encourage good image quality it didn't end well, some people complained and my post was -1'd with a comment which said "what a load of bollocks", despite it only contained good suggestions.


I'm glad that both you and TheStoneBanana pointed that out in my place, though. I feel less and less alone in this crusade against bad screenshots, even if there are only 4 of us so far and we're surrounded by people who have a fetish for artifacts and/or filters and/or stretched pictures.

Wow looks that fantastic Overbound. It looks like its a kind of Sonic CD sequel of some kind maybe? In any case it looks great. The art looks nice and the music sounds really good and fitting especially that ice level music.

 

As I've already relayed to you over on Twitter, my body was not ready for this. I haven't had a fangame induce an erection, congrats. Top level stuff, looks much more interesting than Before/After the sequel, and it looks much more stable engine wise, thank Christ for that. 

 

This looks fantastic. It's like a great marriage of old level art, and modern level design. I wish we saw a little bit of the past/future levels, unless they're in there and I just missed them.

 

You do see a lot of past and future levels. Yellow level is Attraction Attack Past Red Level is Attraction Attack Future. The Blue/Green Level is Viridian Valley Past and the GHZ looking level is Viridian Valley Future. Frigid Fortress is only the past as I haven't quite finished the future yet.
