Porting Tails into Sonic 1

    How can i port tails into sonic 1 with his sonic 3 abilities flying swimming i'm using sonic 2 sprites for tails. can somebody help me cause im using the Sonic 2 2007 Dissasembly by Xenowhirl. Also i have spindash in my hack with dust and sound for sonic.

    No harm in posting this I guess...

    Find a source code for the hack "Sonic the Hedgehog: Open Source Project" and go into the source code's Obj01 object code, and copy it into your hack.

    EDIT: SuperEgg told me not to use STHOSP.

    Hum... Bobesh, that hack is known to have stolen code ripped off Megamix. I'd recommend not using it.

    Anyways, regarding the question... you should try porting the code from S3K (iirc the code is at "Tails_FlyingSwimming" on the S3K Hg disasm), or either making your own.

    Yeah,try to stay as far away from that "open source project" as possible.


    I would maybe first port him in from S2, then once he's working then try to port his moves from S3K.

    Don't follow Bobesh's advice. Port the code from the S3K disasm, and don't use that "Sonic Open Source Project" which has got stolen code.

    Okay i got my Sonic 3 And Knuckles dissasembly and my Sonic 2 2007 Dissasembly where do I start in the sonic 2 dissasmbly and where do i stop same thing for the S3K Dissasembly

    Sonic Open Source project? What the hell? Why in God's name would you consider using that. Bad Bobesh. No cake and ice cream for you.

    Porting Tails from Sonic 2 final isn't all that difficult, it just requires that you not destroy stuff along the way. First off, rip that good ol' Obj02 straight from Sonic 2. Make sure you fix some of those RAM address differences, ensure that you also fix the invincibility and speed shoes stuff, and then you're all good.

    As far as porting in the flying code, only get that from S3K. Along with it, you're going to have to modify the sst's to be the same as S2 and S1's.

    One more quick note.

    Nobody is going to tell you exactly what to do. So stop being lazy, quit trying to hold people's hands, grow a pair of testicles, and go experiment. I swear, it's like you people are castrated or something.

    So do i port the Obj02 the Tails object from the s2.asm but not the cpu code or the Sonic & Tails code just the tails alone code.

    Okay i got the code here is the asm code
     

    I also ported Tails Animation Script,Maps art, pallete and his  dynamic pattern load cues its also added in object pointers i will add Tails' tails later. i haven't inserted the code yet.

    No one here needs to see the Tails code, as it is the same code from the disassemblies. We can all download the Sonic 2 disassembly and get the code from there. No need for us to see the Tails code from here or pastebin.
