You can just make it don't load at title. Of course you can program asolutely new title Sonic that will fit to the title.

    Robotnik used badnik!

    It wasn't very effective!

    Sonic used spindash!

    Robotnik got away safely!

Seriously though, those sprites look legit. Nice job!

"Robotnik wants to fight!" "Robotnik sent out Missingno.!" "Go Sonic!" Seriously I am very impressed with what you've shown us so far, and I can't wait to see the Pokemon Blue/Red levels as I love the Gen 1 games. <3 I look forward to the other levels as well, but Pokemon is one of my favorite gaming franchises. :)

Awesome. This screen looks like TS from Modern era games. I also see that sound test menu...

A new intro on my new Romhack. Decided to put Megadrive BIOS Concept with PS2 boot sound together, with additional coding/art/palette changes.

By the way, Greetings to Zana, Vladikcomper and Gardeguey. ;D

Darkon: Really nice! I like the colors on the FG a lot! Now this is going to seem like weird timing seeing as you just posted a space themed zone but I made a space wip mock-up earlier today.

Amazing! I liked a lot the details you put in this mock-up, even reminds me a certain level from Megaman 9. :)

Edit: And here, my idea for desert bg:

    (Welp, 20th post, I guess.)

Still unsure on how to fix those floating platforms (I'll fix them in time, fear not), but here, have another progress update.

All constructive criticism is quite welcome and highly appreciated.

The platforms are loading the wrong art tiles. That's why they're messed up. They are currently loading tiles from the level art.

I played the "new version" of each special stage and came up with these conclusions:

    Stage 1:

Seemingly not much change was made, and this still looks too difficult to be considered fair for the first stage. I suggesst eliminating all those barrier blocks not surrounding the emerald or the 1-up and using regular walls with 2 or 3 Goal pits for dead ends.

How did this get there? 30 emeralds? I can get 6 blue emeralds all at once and not have to play another stage! You may want to get rid of all that.

Stage 1 needs a lot more work done on it.

    Stage 2:

    Much better than before!

Ok, it appears that I could be forever trapped between the two sets of transparent blocks, but fortunately, they didn't work.

I'm so glad you removed the cheap Goal hazards lining the wall and instead made a pit. May want to add a Reverse in that area, but that's up to you.

    Stage 2 is a go!

    Stage 3:

I see you removed half of the 600 rings in this stage and the unnecessary formations I told you about before. One section (not shown) containing four rings and an UP block in the green area is inaccessible. Might want to check that.

    Stage 3 is a go!

    Stage 4:

Much improved from before! You created an alternate path to the emerald as well.

At least this intimidating shortcut is easier to get through with the blocked off Goal hazards. Better yet, I see you removed the 1-up spam at the beginning of the stage.

You may want to look again at that very open section of the stage with all those rings-- add some Reverses and jump blocks to make navigation a little easier to manage.

Stage 4 needs a little more work.

    Stage 5:

How nice! You attempt to give away the free red emerald at the start, but only for the player to then realize those barriers are fake.

This part seems very unfair AND confusing -- it's hard to tell wich blocks actually work. Try not to use the fake versions of each of the functioning blocks because it make the layout more confusing than appealing.

Parts of the original stage are cutoff and floating around.

I don't think you need two emeralds there.

Stage 5 needs a lot more work.

    Stage 6:

You will need to remake Stage 6 from scratch. Way too many objects on screen, resulting in massive slowdown

     and VRAM glitching.

You did a little better this time, but just remember not to place so many objects in one area because it will cause slowdown.

Layouts are neat, but near empty. Still has nice work.  I think the platform has a mapping issue. Like Ralakimus said, they are loading wrong tiles from VRAM. Good luck fixing the bug.

of what? Which hack are you reviewing? What's the point in posting a long review of a hack we don't know in "screenshots" thread? :D

You could put a quote, at least.

I think that he posted this in wrong topic. Looking at screens it looks like Pacguy's hack.
