I made a new update! It's wonderful :3

I added a new character, with a different play style, playable by pressing B on the title screen (props to anyone who figures out what "it" is)

Rev01 BG effects ported (they screw up the BG of Technopolis zone, but otherwise look amazing)

Removed leftover GHZ waterfalls

Removed some objects to fix issues in LFZ

Improved CZ's layouts

Minor fixes here and there

Made the poop sky blue

P.S. I was thinking of using Banjo-Kazooie music, but it's far too slow and uplifting for what I have in mind (especially with PPZ)

 

For some reason the GHZ's boss spawned invisible and impossible to kill him, I don't know exactly why. And sorry, but I have not had time to take a pic.

P.S. That happened only one time.

 

Damn! I tried to fix that! Did you have over 50 rings when he spawned?

 

If I remember... Yes, I guess and I was using the shield too. If you want I can try do that glitch again with video/pic.

 

Well, I played the new release, and I'm confused. Is the new character Sanic? Or a similar Sonic-based character? Also, the bushes stacked on top of each other looks kinda stupid. You can tell they're made from 16x16 blocks due to the way they're applied in the background. Also the clouds look weird with the new background color. Maybe you change the colors to the ones I suggested:

 

That has to be the best MZ palette, I have ever seen, well done LooneyDude. He wants a polluted level feel, and what you have there is too beautiful lol. For what he wants, he should just create a new upper BG, that has buildings that look like factories, with animated smoke coming out of the smoke stacks or something, and edit the palette, so the colors match better. I just don't think the MZ BG works with what you did to the FG and bottom BG.

Edit: The Clouds still look like shit Pacguy. So I strongly recommend, changing the upper BG. It is called, Pollutant Plant after all .

Edit2: Also, I think you should refrain from posting an update of your hack almost every other day, wouldn't you rather want to surprise people with finished work? I've been working on mine for 2 years, and only one version has been released, a very shitty one ill admit. lol

 

I was planning on continuing my hack in the dark after the SHC, but I'm just so ridiculously eager for play testing. As for LooneyDude's guess on who my incomplete character is, yes, it is Sanic (I'm shocked that no one tried this yet

 

So far I like how are you progressing with your hack, and mostly the ideas who you have for the levels too.

There's a difference.

 

Another cool change you could make to Lilly's top speed #$400, her acceleration #$90, and her deceleration #$90. That way, her mech suit actually moves like a mech suit. Sweet!

I'm still seeing objects disappear and reappear/broken monitors due to too many objects in a lot of given areas and I still don't agree with Special Stage rings being directly in front of you/unavoidable. As such, I tried to suicide the first special stage just to get out of it and discovered that you can beat the first special stage by pressing absolutely no buttons.

 

I made stuff better! Check the front post for new things! Enjoy :3

@FFuser: Your object fix crashes RR, likely because Lilly and Sonic have seperate object layouts each. I guess I'll have to make do with what I have...
