Hey. Team Painto presents you a hack. And it's a typical Sonic 1 hack but iT'S ON FIRE!!!11!

Yes, we make your dreams come true and presenting to you made properly (I think) GHZ (and later other zones) on FIRE!!!1! This version have only Green Hill playable, but surely there will be next revisio with more zones.

    Story:

Few months after defeating Eggman in Metallic Madness, Sonic decided that he will return to South Island and see if everything is okay. Sadly, Eggman also returned and he wanted to get control over the island once again. Seeing that blue hedgehog is close to the island decided to burn it and hide in Scrap Brain, his old base. Now Sonic must defeat Eggman and get Chaos Emeralds once again to restore the island old state before it's too late!

    Time for some screenshots:

Sonic is sad, because the island was burned.

    • Fire.
    • New boss.
    • Did I mentioned fire?
    • Sonic CD styled spindash, which functions like Sonic 2 one (this isto fit the story).
    • And of course fire.
    Credits:Team Painto Staff:

This is amazing! Great job, Painto. It was about time someone made something like this.

OH MY GOD YOU USED GHZ BAD FUTURE

    I LOVE THAT SONG!

About the deformation, I could port S3K's AIZ act 2 deformation if you want. So you can use deformation intended for fire instead of water ripples.

Also, am I the only one that thinks removing the clouds would add to the atmosphere?

LIke everyone else, I think this is pretty fucking amazing. It's great for a mini hack. My only issue with it is the layouts are rather dickish, being built around blind jumps, and there was even a very well hidden, inescapable pit of spikes (there's a reason the same bullshit in MCZ has become sonic legend).

It had two breakable ledges postioned as if they were floors. Below this was a spike pit that I just couldn't quite jump out of. Let me get a screenshot....

I accidentally destroyed one of the breakable platforms, but you get the idea.

Edit: I'd make specific cases of where the blind jumps are, but they're so numourous and easy to spot that I think you can find them yourself. Fixing them is easy; just place platforms so the player knows what they're doing,

    It's pretty good,

i'd just say fix your spin dash.

And maybe no blinking in the title screen?

    Other then that, yeah,

    it's pretty good.

The Spin Dash is meant to be like that. It's a fusion of Sonic CD's and Sonic 2's Spin Dashes.

I would prefer the standard rolling animation which is currently being used by the Dash be replaced with a faster one that actually displays Sonic on the ground instead of having him float. Just to close match the SCD version.

    this is pretty good.

My opinion for the fire (if possible) make it so if sonic touches it, he gets hurt, it is fire after all.

no, warr1or2, that idea is awful. That make the game way too hard. Besides, they're clearly supposed to resemble the tree fires from AIZ, which never hurt you.
