After checking the Google Chrome update releases (based on the dates of yesterday and today), nothing significant has changed.

This is leading me to believe that it isn't Google Chrome's fault, although I may be (and most likely am) wrong.

Seeing as IPB 3.4.x is basically on life support, it's only getting security patches as and when issued. The last security patch was over a month ago. The issue isn't board software related. All who've encountered the issue are running WebKit based browsers. Chrome, Safari & Opera all use WebKit as they're rendering engine.

I'm having this happen on my end as well. It's only happening on threads with new posts that are marked with a monitor; when the monitor flashes through to it's static frames, the entire text to the right of it flashes also. If I click on the monitor to mark the thread as read, it no longer happens.

Using the latest version of Chrome on Windows 8, if that helps.

EDIT: It's also only happening on the main forum page - http://sonicresearch.org/forums/index.php

I don't have this problem on IE.  And I'm using Windows 7.

Ok so I fixed it on my end by updating my graphics drivers. They were only outdated by a month or so, but it seems to have sorted it. I'm thinking the latest version of Chrome has caused some incompatibility with the older drivers. Give it a try and let me know what the outcome is.

I am getting this issue as well, and it looks like my graphics drivers are up to date. Guess for now I'll just use Firefox until the problem is solved. Or just ignore it all together. :v Edit: Never mind seems to be fine now. xD

I've had this happening since Chrome auto updated itself a few days ago.

It's a rendering bug, because maybe I see the refresh process.

Maybe my video card, Intel HD Graphics, it's quite hard for it to render some table elements in SSRG.

Although, I see no refreshing bug in other IP.Board forums, like Sonic United Forums.

OrdosAlpha, did you test SSRG forums on Windows 8.0 x64?

I just wanted to say that I'm not experiencing any problem, neither with Chrome nor with Firefox, on Windows XP. It sure sounds like a weird issue.

I'm using Windows 7 SP1 x64 and Google Chrome, and I am not experiencing this problem as well.

Thought I'd report that I am no longer getting this glitch.  It seems to have fixed itself.

Okay, my Chrome seems to show me that glitchy SSRG too... Even I use x32 system. x_x

EDIT: Okay, this is not all specs, but I hope that helps.

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32-bit

    Chrome version: 36.0.1985.125 m

CPU: AMD A4-3300M APU with Radeon ™ HD Graphics 1.90 GHz

It's started up again for me today after an extended period of being fine. If you haven't already done so, can anyone having this problem edit their posts to contain their OS, Chrome version number and any other worthwhile specs. This will help us try to find a pattern somewhere.

Ok, now it's starting to blink on another computer (Google Chrome). This time it's Windows XP.

Google Chrome 36.0.1985.125 is damnish. The blame is on this version.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin, send me update immediately!

I'm already seeing a pattern: It occurs with the latest version of Chrome, and only with that.

Lemme check my Chrome version real quick...okay, got it. I'm running version 33.0.1750.154 m on a 64-bit Toshiba with Windows 8 installed, as I previously mentioned. So it's likely with the latest version of Chrome, seeing as it only appears to happen when using Chrome.

Okay, it's back with me.  So it keeps coming and going.  Must be on a timer of some sort.

    Google Chrome Version 36.0.1985.125 m

    Windows 8.1 64-bit build 9600

    Intel core i5-3317U

    Intel HD graphics 4000

EDIT:  It seems to only happen when there are 5 or more monitors that do the static animation.  After reading and posting in this topic, there's now only 4 (because I've read this one) and now it's stopped again.  Using my "back" button on the browser so I get to the page so there's 5, there's the glitch.

Chrome has never been known for being a fan of animated GIFs. I have no way to replicate that, though, since I always read all the topics. Is there a way to reset everything to "unread" without resorting to spamming every other subforum?

Has anyone tried like....clearing their cache and deleting cookies...? Just a thought. I use Firefox so I'm not getting this issue.
