Blinking SSRG

Now I wanna get an animated avatar just to fuck with everyone

 

Funnily enough, the animated avatars do not effect chrome for me, on my laptop or phone. On the home page currently, there's 5 animated gifs from avatars on the right side, which is fine.


I truly think it's just the monitors on the left. Anyone else?

 

I don't get the blinking on my PC. I do, however, get it on my phone.

 

Actually, I've just went back to SSRG clean cut theme and the blinking happens, with no animated monitors (all broken/read), then back to IPB theme, and the blinking stops. So the avatars/monitors cause this glitch on the SSRG theme but not the IPB. Seeming as I never see this glitch on any other forums or sites, even with retro and their animated emeralds, I'm beginning to think it's the SSRG theme skin that's in the wrong.

 

Well since other people are still using animated GIFs as avatars I won't feel guilty if I restart doing so as well.

 

I have switched to IP.Board Theme and the blinking have finally stopped.

I'd also like to point out that I'm currently using the SSRG Clean Cut Director's edition (the last option on the theme list) and the blinking does not occur. Just saying for those who don't like the standard I.P. Board theme (like myself).

Just wanna say that the new theme still doesn't help me with blinking. Switched to IPB theme as well.

 

I can confirm that the blinking is happening to me on Google Chrome x64 version. I probably have the most severe case, since it literally blinks everywhere. However, the new theme doesn't blink at all. Thank god.

 

So, I'm assuming the new theme is up then? In that case, the new theme didn't help at all on the mobile version. It's still blinking without ceasing.

 

At this moment in time, the new skin is only available to staff members and higher (Neo SSRG clean cut) and I can confirm it has solved the issue on my laptop and on my phone. The skin just needs tweaking/finishing before publicised.


There's another new skin (SSRG Clean Cut - Shit Browser Edition Director's Cut X) that was a test that still contains the blinking glitch. I guess this is the skin you can currently see. For now, use IP.Board skin until the new one is finished

 

Or just use other browsers. Firefox still works like a charm. Hell, even IE (sigh) from my Nokia Lumia 630 displays the forum just fine.

 

The Shit Browser edition doesn't blink for me.



Now I have transitioned to Firefox so I no longer need to use the Shit Browser edition skin.

 

I should've figured as much. SuperMember and Kawasuzu had me thinking otherwise :/
