Okay, I don't feel the need to truly post any screenshots, but is there a easy way or tool I could use to make the background scroll all at once instead of layers?

I'm attempting a city background in my hack and its driving me up the walls since the buildings are chopped off and scroll along. Thanks in advance!

You can use the Selbi's Parallax Editor..

I also believe Selbi's Parallax Editor only uses bitshifts to determine the speed of a scroll section, so that would mean you would only have exponents of 2 to work with, which are pretty much either too slow or too fast.

An easy thing you can do is just to copy and paste the Spring Yard Zone code into what ever level, and change the loc_(what ever numbers here) into one of the original deform codes you changed. And in sonlvl, resize background to 2px high. If I am not mistaking, you have to copy and paste SYZ background scroll index that is located higher in the asm file, and paste it into GHZ background scroll index.

Well, looked a bit into the parallax editing tool, cant seem to wrap my head around why I have to load images.

But anyway, I don't need Y scrolling, but thanks for the tips friends.

I'll keep experimenting with the things provided here. Wish me luck.
